The search for the perfect salon is over! I’ve had several visits to KIKIHAIR since moving to melbourne, and each time I’ve left with the biggest smile. The result of lovely, knowledgeable and talented staff as well as hard to beat customer service. I’ve been one to home bleach and dye my hair in the past and yes those days are now behind me, but I wasn’t made to feel ashamed of the horror I walked in with on my initial appointment! The ladies here are truly customer focused and always take the time to listen to the client to achieve that desired result. I never write reviews but this salon and its amazing staff deserve the praise because there’s no other place I could recommend more highly!I’m notorious for leaving appointments to the last minute but the staff at Kikihair always find a way to work something out! I truly appreciate their consideration for hair needs and also provide a high quality service at an affordable price. After the trip down multiple bright DIY-colouring lane, and the “don’t do it, I’m gonna do it, I did it,” cutting of bangs craze inspired by iso, I mutilated my locks into a short blunt cut bob, what was I thinking??? If tried to grow my hair out for years and 2020 had me destroying the progress I’d made and compromise my hairs co diction. So what do you do - what any girl does, use social media to ones advantage! I decided on extensions and had to find the ultimate salon for price , quality, service and results! Hours of research later I booked into KIKIHAIR and I’m never looking back! Boy did the girls have their work cut out for them but GOSH, they sure delivered! I’ve had them for 6 months now and they’re still as good as when I first got them. I felt comfortable to ask questions and the girls were more than happy to give me good advice on extension care and hair education. I was interested in salon grade hair products and the girls revealed their own are affordable line of hair products. I’ve never been one to buy salon products in the past and was ready to take the plunge. Thoroughly over the moon with how healthy, soft and great smelling my hair is now! I always get positive comments. Absolutely love my hair! I always look forward to my next appointment with Kikihair!
I had so much trouble to find a good hair dresser in Melbourne as I have a natural black hair . At first I just booked my consultation with Natalie she was amazing explained everything to me and showed all those hair extensions which I needed . For the first time in 10 years I felt I can trust someone . Maybe didn’t get what I want at first from black to blond in one session but Krystal was amazing everytime and did her best for my hair . after 4 sessions my hair is finally got that colour I wanted for so long They are amazing the quality of their hair extensions are UNREAL . It's rough when a business has to inherit any negative comments from previous management, so I had to pop on here and leave a recent review because I had a GREAT experience with Kiki Hair Melbourne. I visited Kiki's for the first time on Tuesday, 8th December 2020. Prior to this, Maree had been incredibly helpful and quickly responsive when I made an online enquiry over email. She booked me in at super short notice because I needed to get my hair/look completely refreshed I had a Bayalage Transformation Package done for a dated event, even though the salon was busy! I'm always nervous when I visit a new hairdresser due to past experiences where staff can come across judgmental, and/or condescending especially when you don't buy their upsold products/packages. Further, I knew full well my hair wasn't in great shape after 8 months of lockdown neglect, and I also suffer from chronic hair loss. To cut to the chase, I had an AMAZING time at Kiki Hair. This was one of the only times I walked out of the salon having what I actually wanted, done to a tee, and I love the team they have. Maree, Jerusha and Krystal were there on the day, and all of them were welcoming and lovely. Maree and Krystal not only absolutely nailed the colour I wanted - literally, my only vague description was "in the middle of plum and red" - but Krystal was incredibly skilled and did a brilliant job of the bayalage, colour and cut. She used techniques I hadn't seen before and this led to an absolutely beautiful end-result! Everyone who's seen my new hair has complimented the look, and I never thought my horrible hair could ever make it onto one of those 'before and after' transformation photos, because usually, the 'after' isn't that much different! The team also don't stop till you're completely happy with your results, and don't make you feel like you're a 'difficult customer' wasting their time if you ask questions or don't add-on a recommended service. This aspect of customer experience is sorely lacking in salons these days, especially where getting people done and out quickly is the key to high turnover. I also loved that their Bayalage Transformation Package was at a fixed price, especially during this difficult period. It's not the cheapest in the world, but it made all the difference to know exactly how much I was going to pay at the end, instead of an arbitrary $XX+ amount which usually ends up ballooning. All in all, I'd highly recommend Kiki Hair Melbourne : They took photos of my befores and afters so you can always ask to see this for proof of the great work they do!
I have been going to Kiki Hair for over a year now for my extensions and I am a loyal customer because of the amazing customer service and overall talent of the hairstylists. Service is great the moment you walk in. You are offered a complimentary beverage and snacks when you sit down to make you feel comfortable. The stylist there are current in their style and always on trend. The reason why I love going to Kiki hair is for their honesty in what they think is best for your hair and I’ve always come out looking fabulous. The tape extensions I receive are of the highest quality and have actually helped my hair grow faster, which I love! You don’t feel like you’re walking into a strict salon because the stylist make you feel so at home and you feel like you’re talking to a friend. I know all the stylist off by heart and love everyone of them. I cant express how happy I am every time I walk out of the salon and highly recommend Kiki Hair for anyone looking to get new extensions, a haircut or a stunning colour treatment. I love the team at KiKi Hair South Yarra! You’re the best! xx
Check my account photos to see what Kiki South Yarra did to my hair. I went for a quote and the final price was $400 above what they had initially quoted me. On top of that they had managed to burn off my hair from the top of my head near the roots whilst bleaching it. Currently my burnt off hair visibly sticks out from the rest of my hair as a result of being burnt off so close to the root. Realistically, my hair isn't going to grow back at reasonable length until five months or so. Initially, They also failed to tell me that they had burnt my hair until I saw it in the mirror and mentioned it to the staff. *UPDATE : it’s been 10 months since my initial review, never heard back from your “new customer service team”, claiming “we are treating this matter seriously”, asked me how the company can rectify, I messaged photos of the breakage which is still going on after 10 months and asked the company to discuss the compensation. Left me on seen, no genuine apology, no acknowledgement. And today, I received an $88 refund with no explanation, what is that supposed to mean? I spent over 7000 dollars trying to fix the damage Kiki staff had done to my hair, wore hats for the past year because my hair looked ridiculous from all the breakage... all I got was an automatic text of $88 refund with absolutely 0 acknowledgement of the incident. This company needs a wake up call copy pasting the same reply to every 1 star review doesn’t change the fact your company is still unethical and horrible, even nothing is better this half arsed customer service
The girls here are amazing! So friendly and talented. I was about to give up on my dream of having beautiful long hair until I found KiKi Hair Melbourne. I finally have gorgeous long hair which is so healthy. Thank you so much xx See you again soon
I had my extensions done a few months ago and I am still absolutely thrilled! I got an extension and colour package and he did an amazing job matching my platinum blonde I felt like a million bucks when I walked out! The staff are gorgeous, my hair looks gorgeous, and I CONSTANTLY have randoms complimenting my hair it looks real and fab highly highly recommend this salon!
This my hair AFTER a permanent straightening treatment. Needless to say- Kiki didn’t manage to straighten my hair, although I had followed their directions and didn’t wash my hair for three days. Moreover, lots of hair broke so now I look like I was hit by lightning. I should have read the signs with how the space looks and the fact that the hair dresser told me at the end of the treatment that they have a- guarantee policy that you can come back to fix anything shortly after. I mean- I’ve been treating my hair this way for 10 years and had never needed to return or have never heard a hair salon admit failure before sending a client home. What a disappointing experience. Update- the salon had stated that they tried a new product that period and that’s probably the reason it wasn’t affective. They offered me a free Keratin treatment which I took and I’ll be now waiting until I have enough growth to treat again.
Terrible quality hair extensions. I had my tape ins removed 3 weeks after I had them installed at the Kiki Melbourne salon because they were that bad. As soon as I washed them they became extremely tangled and matted even when I followed all of the aftercare instructions they provided. I would literally spend over 20 minutes brushing my hair only to have it revert back to a tangled mess almost immediately after. When they were removed by a different salon the stylist told me there was no way they were authentic Remy extensions and was shocked by the condition that they were in only 3 weeks after installation. My hair also thinned significantly due to the constant pulling from all the knots and matting I had. When I complained to Kiki they offered me a complimentary wash and blow dry as compensation. Complete waste of time and money and ruined my hair.
So happy with my extensions from Kiki Melbourne salon. I’ve been to other over priced extension salons in Melbourne and found they were the best hair quality and application. Their makeover packages are really good value. They also do 26 inch extensions which I love!
