Terrible chicken, very small pieces as original, look photos, the pieces almost same as a table spoon, dark and hard coating.nIt's 3 customers before me, and I place order 15 mins before, but still waiting for 12 mins after placing order.nOnly 1 kid doing chicken and taking orders at the same time, I don't know if there is a manager.nBut most annoying me is the size of the chicken, seriously, you don't know what the piece size should be, what if there is a nugget size in the batch, I think some unlucky customers would get it too.
Always the same issue with this KFC : THE WAIT !! How is it possible to have to wait 40 MINUTES for a meal on a Wednesday evening ?? It is the 3rd and last time I'm trying. If you don't wanna waste your time either eat somewhere else.
Same old secret herds and spices chicken, I got four pieces meal original chicken. Nothing flash, the counter service could have offered me coleslaw, got home to find stinking gravy and mash. Chicken was okay on the edges, dry in centre I'd be happy if there was a drum stick bit of a let down.nBe back for burgers and chips.
Every single time I have gone to Mareeba KFC it has been a bad experience, not in a “they were busy” or “everyone has an off day” way back to the counter rarely feels reassuring because the issue is treated like an everyday occurrence rather than a problem that should concern anyone, and while sometimes the missing item is handed over, there is rarely any sense of urgency, apology, or accountability, just the impression that this is normal and expected, which says a lot about how frequently it must be happening to other customers as well, and the food you do receive is often underwhelming at best, with chicken that can be dry and overcooked one visit and strangely greasy the next, chips that are frequently lukewarm, soggy, or stale-tasting as if they’ve been sitting around far too long, and burgers that look rushed and poorly assembled, with ingredients unevenly stacked or sliding apart, making the whole thing messy and unpleasant to eat, and none of this would be as frustrating if it were a one-off issue, but the problem is that it is every visit, every order, the same pattern repeating itself over and over again, which removes any benefit of the doubt and replaces it with the clear impression that quality control simply isn’t a priority here, and adding to the frustration is the waiting time, which often feels excessive considering the end result, as you can stand around for longer than expected only to receive food that is incomplete, poorly prepared, or both, making the wait feel pointless and irritating rather than understandable, and the overall environment behind the counter often looks chaotic, like everyone is busy but nothing is actually running smoothly, with orders piling up, staff rushing around, and mistakes slipping through constantly, and as a customer you are left standing there wondering how such basic errors are so common, because this is not a complicated menu or a high-end restaurant, it is fast food, designed to be repeatable and consistent, yet Mareeba KFC seems to struggle with even the most basic execution, and over time this creates a sense of distrust where you no longer feel confident that you will get what you paid for, that the food will be fresh, or that the environment will be clean, and instead you approach each visit with lowered expectations and a kind of resignation, hoping only that the order will be mostly correct and edible, which is a very low bar that still often isn’t met, and the dirtiness of the place continues to stand out as one of the most disappointing aspects because it’s not just about appearance, it’s about comfort and hygiene, and when tables are dirty, bins are overflowing, and the general dining area looks tired and uncared for, it directly affects how much you can enjoy the food, if at all, and it leaves you wondering how thoroughly surfaces, equipment, and preparation areas are being cleaned, and the fact that this has been a recurring issue across multiple visits suggests it is not being taken seriously enough to fix, and what really cements the negative experience is how predictable it has become, because you can almost script the visit before it happens: you order, you wait, you receive a bag that feels lighter than it should, you check it and confirm something is missing, and you either go back to the counter or leave disappointed, and this cycle repeating again and again is exhausting and frustrating, especially when you are paying full price each time, and it ultimately makes you question why you would return at all except for lack of alternatives or the hope that maybe this time will finally be different, a hope that Mareeba KFC has never once lived up to in my experience.
Ordered a mega burger feast, asked for 1 of the 6 burgers as a wrap. Recived the order and was missing one of my items. Ive tried calling the mareeba kfc multiple times, the phone rings once and it hangs up on you....nnCant get ahold of this company just to let them know of their mistake...nnVery poor effort by you all..
