Story

The founder of our Company, Des O’Shea has been a Shepparton resident for the majority of his life, having attended local schools until commencing in the Stock & Station Agency business with McNamara & Company.

Des commenced D.J. O’Shea & Company some 25 years ago prominently dealing in all forms of livestock selling, where his reputation for honesty & hard work has followed him into the Real Estate industry. Des is well known for his rural property dealings such as broad acre cropping, sheep & cattle farms, dairies, out paddocks and smaller hobby farms.

He also has an extensive knowledge of residential real estate having sold a broad range of homes, investment properties & vacant land.

Des has a down to earth ’no frills’ approach to Real Estate transaction and a shake of his hand is his bond.

Geoff Dobson commenced in Real Estate under the legendary Tim Jones in 1974 and has gained experience with Ellis Gough & Ron Stewart and was a partner in Shepparton Real Estate until joining Des at D.J. O’Shea & Co Pty Ltd in 1999.

Kevin Hicks started out in the Livestock industry as a protégé of Des O’Shea, eventually taking over Des’s stock and station business. He moved into real estate in 2003, joining the team at Geoff Dobson & Co. Since then Kevin has excelled, building a large client base and a long list of successful sales. Due to his success, he has found himself once again taking over a business founded by Des O’Shea, and becoming Geoff’s successor by forming Kevin Hicks Real Estate.
