We had an agreement with Steve and Gillian to pack up and auction off the contents of my mum's house. She owned a large house, full of antique furniture and collectibles of every kind. We agreed to pay them 30% of the auction proceeds to do this. What we learned after the auction was that Steve bought many of the items for himself/ his business as he owns an antique shop on the side. He charged us commission on the items that he bought and we paid him to sell and refuses to pay the money back. I believe that this is double dipping. Steve did not mention prior to the auction that he was interested in buying any items or we could have come to some agreement. I can't recommend this business.
