Centrepoint Motel offers affordable accommodation in Kawakawa, only 15 minutes drive from Paihia.

Our motel accommodation includes 3 new modern 2-bedroom units (sleep 6), 1 new spacious studio unit, 3 fully refurbished studios with new kitchens and bathrooms (2006) and 7 standard ground-floor units.

This is an ideal location for exploring the Bay of Islands including Paihia, Kerikeri, Opua and Russell. Local activities include steam train rides, the Kawhiti glowworm caves, quad bikes and horse riding.

No visit to Kawakawa is complete without a visit to the world famous Hundertwasser toilets - walking distance from the Centrepoint Motel.

Make a day trip to Opononi (Hokianga Harbour) and Waipoua Forest, Ngawha Springs, Doubtless Bay or Cape Reinga during your stay. Tours can be arranged.

I needed a room after my husband suffered a medical emergency at Kerikeri airport. The owner was very welcoming, helpful and allowed me to leave my bag there until the taxi picked us up to take us back to the airport after 2 nights. The room was very clean, the shower was great and if in Kawakawa again we would certainly stay there.Rooms: 5/5

Fairly good sized and roomy. two room four beds and big lounge...and not musty smell so  fairly good. No noise and clean...recommended cheers.

Great stay. Concern for road noise was overcome by double glazing.Was not a problem. Unit 4 recently upgraded and in excellent condition. Shower best ever experienced. Will save my next shower until I return and I will be able to waterblast myself clean. Some front units still need upgrading and road noise will be a problem so make sure you ask.

Each time I go home for an event,funeral,celebration I always stay here.Was in unit 1 a couple of weeks ago.Units are clean, maintained well an quiet.Rooms: 5/5

A warm welcome from the lovely lady in the admin. Needed a room for 3 adults 1 whom is 85 years old and a 5 year old child. Our unit is spacious, cool and with 2 rooms with 3 single beds and 1 queen its perfect.  Thank you very much

Staff are awesome! Myself and my two kids have been here a week , the rooms are clean and it's close to the township. Highly recommend!

its alright the room we stay in the TV should be in the corner  otherwise  you get a saw neck but otherwise  good

extremely clean and comfortable accommodation, kitchen was well equipped plus a small garden with table, chair and bbq. there was some noise from the main road that was close, but the owner was very friendly and extremely helpful even finding us accommodation for the next weekend when even the tourist office had failed.

We stayed in a studio room for 2 nights in January 2016. It's a motel in a small town so not luxury but still comfortable. What worked: * VERY clean and good sized rooms with lots of natural light our room had sliding doors onto a small grassed area * Basic cooking facilities - microwave, electric frying pan, hot plate, toaster, kettle - so we could take care of all our food needs * Centrally located with easy walk to shops and pub and short drive to Paihia and surrounds * Reasonably priced particularly when compared to similar style accommodation in Paihia What didn't work so well: * Noisy...almost on the intersection of SH1 and main road through to Paihia so constant noise of trucks and other vehicles * No a/c, fan or heating in room. That was ok when we stayed as temperature was very mild but would make for a less comfortable stay in different conditions * Strange set up with tv - had to turn on/off on tv rather than use remote All in all we enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others.
