Fully stocked shop with 3 staff on and no service. Walked around looking, needed to buy a whole filter and heating set up for a new turtle and walked out without even being given a hello. I was definitely in the shop long enough to to attended to. very small and over crowded shop.
I love this place. I got three of my rabbits there and a guinea pig. I loved when I would walk by and see the cutest puppies and kitties but I understand why they stopped puppies. It is also a great place to buy whatever your pets need. The prices are between reasonable and high but I still love looking at all the cute toys.
Thank you so much to the staff at Karingal Hub Pets, my 6 year old daughter desperately wanted a fur baby of her own & after doing a lot of research we decided a rat was a great option. The store at Karingal Hub was recommended by Fancy Rat breeders as being a reputable place to purchase properly bred Not farmed rats & the staff were extremely helpful in getting us everything we needed to get set up!! Would definitely recommend this store as a good place to get pets from!!
I got a female rat from awhile ago here she wasn't socialized or handled very well from a young age she has bitten and draw blood whenever i try to interact with her or but food in her cage or water, couple days later notice she was sneezing and blood coming out from nose. Took her to the vet they said she was sick she has uri she is so far getting better and she is 6-7 weeks old staff said she was more then 3 months she is just scared cause she wasn't handled properly; i will give her time and patience and in time she will stop and be confident around humans. Don't recommend getting rats from here go to official breeders or shelters such as re-homes a rat Melbourne. I won't buy another rat from here ever again
I've had my dog from Karingal Pets for nearly 2 years now. All the staff are so helpful and friendly when I need something. Will continue to shop there for my pooch. Highly recommend them for any of your pets needs.
nice staff, high prices and bad experience After being sold a bird from Karingal Hub pets without a DNA card I returned asking for it, i was told to leave my details and they'll be in touch. after a two week wait without a call i went into the store to ask again, they had two DNA cards but just didn't call me. The DNA cards ended up being wrong, so i left my details and waited 3 weeks for a call but again i had to enter the store to collect my birds DNA card just to know how old he is
They are friendly always with me that's why I shop there and I get me pets from them always meet Whiskers
When I walk into a store, I hope to see healthy animals. I walked in there to a rabbit that looked almost dead, on its last brink of life. I am a lover of rats, so I decided to buy a baby girl rattie. As I wanted to take her from that store and give her the life she deserves. Only to find her caked in lice, underweight and she had a URI. I treated her for the lice and got antibiotics. But she was so far gone that it didn't matter what I did. She soon suffered strokes and passed away. I had her for no more then 2 weeks. RIP Ava. I hope the life I tried to give you was good enough. I feel so guilty. And blame myself for this. But it was you Karingal Hub Pets. This death is on you.
do not buy reptile/reptile setups from Karingal pets. I have visited many times over the years and have always been disappointed, but I have decided to say something now, as I have had a multitude of people come to me with issues due to the setups this store sells. I have worked with reptiles for many years. the setups being sold are far too small, have insufficient heating and lighting, customers are not told of nutritional needs and told to handle the animals every day. and the display turtle setup is completely inappropriate. there are plenty of other alternative local aquariums you can go to instead.
I do not support of animal sales via a pet shop so for me it was bad because of the animals for sale. Pet shops should only sell pet requisites, on this account the rage was OK but could be better if it repurposed the space given to the animals for products instead.
