6 weeks waiting for Home Assistance to find out it was not available to us anymore, used to be very quick under Home Assist Secure with St. Vincent's de Paul doing the maintenance brilliant service for those of our age wanting to stay in our homes, after 6 weeks and having to reregister for My Aged Care find out we don't get help anymore Once 1.30 hr. per fortnight cleaning and home maintenance cost of materials only, was the deal now cleaning back to 1.15 hr and no maintenance help. Use to have help for Gutters cleared, high ceiling lights fixed, bathroom updated for needs. NOW we don't get this any more how are we as pensioners going to afford electricians, plumbers etc. on call out. Today spent over 1 hr. to My Aged Care in end hung up after holding on in excess of 30mins then My Age Care complaints who helped tremendously and explained St. Vincent's has run out of funds and there is not another server available in this area and they cant help. Surely we cant just be cut off no notice and have to pay full cost of maintenance to stay in our homes. Not many will manage this. There must be a better course of action.
