Great service Great atmosphere Delicious food Highly recommend a seat at the grill for the full experience. We had a leisurely lunch here chose the single option and I highly recommended the ‘Tasmania’ choice, I have never tasted such delicious salmon. It was so simple they threw it on the grill for only a few moments added some sauce and it melted in your mouth. Generous serving of salmon, prawns and scallop for the price of $40
I was a bit disappointed with the food and the setting of this restaurant. Located at one of the premier shopping destinations in QLD where some of the iconic international luxury brands you can find, I would think the standard of this Teppanyaki restaurant can’t be any worst. But I was so wrong. You get limited seat around the metal steel plate where the chef cook the food and serve straight to you. This is the iconic of Teppanyaki. They have plenty of sit down tables and if you aren’t aware, you probably think that you are at a food court centre. The food does not taste like any of those authentic Teppanyaki. The salmon on the Teppanyaki is the same cut we get from the sashimi. We upgrade our steam rice and pay extra for fried rice but the fried rice taste more like a soy sauce fried rice. Even the rice wasn’t sushi/Japanese short-grain rice. We spent an average of $70/person for a family of 4 with 2 young kids so it’s quite pricey for the standard of food we get.
We had the kamikaze super deluxe set for 2. The marbled beef was tender but doesn’t taste marbled just notmal. We washed it down with 2 asahi super dry beers. Lovely heavy lunch on a Thursday afternoon in commemoration of the death of the Queen. May she rest in peace.
This was a surprise lunch that was more tasty and cheaper than expected. The Bento combination boxes were exceptional. The steak was melt in your mouth. The chicken and salmon was excellent as well.
Decided to brave the Xmas 2021 holiday mayhem for some shopping & headed to Pacific Fair Shopping Centre on Tues, it was actually acceptably cheerful We had an Amazing lunch at Kamikaze Teppanyaki Pacific Fair and definitely recommend the Supreme Set Serve for 2 Everything was perfect, from the service, atmosphere we sat at the Grill to the incredibly delicious food, cooked to perfection! We will be back 10/10. #googlereview #itsnotchristmaswithoutgoodfood #Japanese
Very good experience. Staffs are really friendly and welcoming. We had watermelon martini, espresso martini, salmon sashimi, marble beef and crumble oyster. Highly recommend sashil and Marble beef, really fresh and beef is so juicy and tender. Good food quality and Very satisfied. Def come back again!
First class tasting food. Best Japanese meals I’ve had on the coast. Even trumps Japan
Teppanyaki fried rice was underwhelming, way too wet and had no taste direction. Scallop-scewers were drowned to sauce. Scallops do have their own distinct flavor. Mushroom skewers were ok, a good choice. Fille mignon medium in honey sauce was a bit chewy but within the expected limits and certainly a success. Serving staff friendly and responsive. Nevertheless, one of the chefs contributed almost to an accident with the plate and did not apologised or cared to ask if everything is alright. He shod learn service manners. Overall Not bad to eat but also not as pleasant as anticipated.
Ordered the Tokyo set $42 and upgraded the rice to Teppanyaki Rice $7. Steak was cooked to my request, prawns were fresh and overall the favour was good. Also ordered the Karaage chicken which I thought was great value given the amount of chicken in the bowl for $12. Service was speedy and friendly. We had food in front of us within 5 minutes of us sitting down. One thing to note, that this restaurant on the outskirts of a shopping centre, it’s not the Marriott Benihana, but it’s half the price. At no fault of the restaurant, The diner next to us was complaining all night that her experience was not theatrical enough. Overall was happy with our dining experience and would dine there again.
Price doesn’t really match food quality. Beef ordered medium but came out almost well done. Upgrade from plain rice to fried rice cost 7 dollars in a small bowl. Good service except waitress forgotten dipping sauce until asked. Clean and well maintained. Generally recommended.
