Story

Kahurangi is the only All Day Kindergarten in the Wairarapa, providing care and education for children 0-5 years. Our service caters for the needs of whānau in our community, and we try and provide suitable hours for each family circumstance.



The principle of whanaungatanga (family connection, relationships through shared experiences, working together and caring for each other in a trusting environment) forms the basis for our work.



Our Nursery provides a safe, peaceful and unhurried place to support infants’ and toddlers’ specific needs. Children have time and space to explore, learn and develop at their own pace. A consistent Nursery team enables us to build effective and respectful relationships.



The over 2's team takes a collaborative approach. Teachers are passionate about supporting all children’s learning, development, skills and dispositions for future formal learning. Kahurangi provides an inviting and stimulating environment which is fun and inspires children to get involved, explore and investigate.
