Story

Joe’s Garage Rangiora is a fun, relaxing place for a great meal, cold beer or hot coffee.

Our café is perfect for groups of all sizes, complete with comfy booth seats, gutsy bar leaners, and a massive covered and heated outdoor area.

The famous Joe’s menu starts at 7:00am every day and keeps on trucking through till late at night.

We have tasty breakfasts like the legendary “Local” to kick off your day, as well as big lunch and dinner menus with something for everyone. Burgers, salads, pizzas, steaks, chicken and seafood dishes are all there to tempt you along with many other favourites. The junior Joe’s are looked after as well with day and night kid’s menus.

We have a big bar out here at Joe’s Rangiora with drops like Asahi, Carlsberg, Somersby cider and craft beers as well the infamous Woodstock bourbon and cola all on tap for you to enjoy.

Was at Joes Garage twice last week.
First time arrived later in evening so they were pretty quiet. Waiter was very friendly.
2nd Night went into get Takeway, while waiting for our dinner I can see that the waiters were very friendly with the customers as well.
I can't comment about the Breakfast's comments as I forgot to have breakfast :)

Went for brunch and sat ourselves, got a high chair ourselves and waited at least 5 minutes. No one to greet us or seat us or give us menus. Left without ordering and went elsewhere.

Went for breakfast. Extremely disappointed. Ordered the jose burrito and requested the vegetarian option. For what I thought was a bean burrito there was possibly 1tbsp of beans. Thinking that the vege version was just removing the bacon. They instead filled it with mushrooms, without a mention. Mushrooms weren’t on the list and personally I don’t like mushrooms so immediately half the meal is redundant. The “smashed spuds” were just awful. Obviously fried earlier then deep fried again. I didn’t see anything smashed. Just chunks of potato badly cooked. There was zero flavour other than the taste of deep fried oil. I barely noticed the egg in there. My partner ordered mushrooms and bacon. The bacon was so over cooked that she had to return it. I think it was one of the worst breakfasts I’ve ever had.

There were two of us and a baby. We had to find our own baby seat.  Then waited 15 minutes to  served.  Garlic bread was forgotten then  came out with our mains after asking to have them first. Another waitress asked us how our meals were. Meal was good to say the least and manager good. Never asked if we would like another drink ect. So we left and went to countdown to get a dessert.  Good food but out waitress really let the experience down

Great vibe, great staff and GREAT food!..do yourself a favour and order their pulled pork and baked cheesecake OMG!
