My brief stop at Jester Cafe was absolutely 5/5. I can see why this place was NZ Cafe of The Year once upon a time. The 'Sushi Bowl' was an inspired deconstruction and so fresh. Many thanks to the staff who accommodated my needs (ashtray, speedy meal). Beautiful surroundings, great food and service. Thank you!!!

Beautiful lunch today, the food was amazing, I had the BLAT which was flavourful and filling, the bread was extremely fresh and perfectly salted. The chutney was to die for and I with I could have taken some with me! The home made lemonade was really nice and had a very traditional rate to it. The iced chocolate could of used more overall liquid, it was in a small glass and was mostly filled with ice cream so it turned into more of a dessert than a drink. The eels were really cool to and feeding them was pretty cool also. The overall atmosphere was amazing very calm and peaceful with heaps of places for the kids to run around and explore! Overall I love with this place and hope I will have the chance to come back some day!!

Great well priced food. Great service from welcoming staff. Rare family-friendly venue in the Nelson area.

Oh my goodness, the gardens here are magnificent. So many nooks and crannies for children to discover and explore and feeding the eels was a highlight for the children. The menu is excellent and the food delicious.

Very nice place, interesting to walk round and look at, great food very good service. Cold today so a big open fire was going to warm us up
