A very disappointing experience. Lacklustre staff, slack service, and mediocre food. Upon arriving, there was absolutely no acknowledgement of our presence. It was our first time at this establishment, and we did not know that you had to place your order by standing up and walking to the counter. We were not directed to any seating, and instead had to awkwardly find a free table. The Seafood Chowder itself was mediocre. The cafe had run out of mussels, which they informed me. However, there was no offer to replace them with anything else. What was inexcusable, however, was the large prawn shells mixed into the chowder [see photos attached]. There are arguably some cooking techniques that would call for these shells to be included, but very few would advocate for their inclusion in a chowder! Presentation could have been better, but the taste of the chowder itself was not that bad at all. Definitely not a place I will be returning to.

Good food, fair service, at times very busy which is always a good sign. Has nice outside seating, normally not difficult to find parking. Does their own baking of good quality. Well worth visiting.

Were out of food when we arrived even though it was only 12:30. I understand it was a public holiday but if you going to open at least have food.

Couldn't believe how noisy it was. First time I have had to drink water from a plastic glass. Also overpriced. I received a salad with scrambled egg 2 very small tomatoes and a small amount of greens and charged $16. I won't be back.
