Jb O’Reileys has always felt like home since i got off the boat from the far away shores of Ireland.nThe Guinness, I repeat, THE GUINNNESSSS is an elite treat, that is hard to beat, so get off your feet and come to Cambridge St, and oh the friends you’ll meet.nBut the pint is only part of the bigger equation: from the food, to the regulars, to the music, to the amazing staff; come here and you will not be disappointed
Dropped into JB O'Reilly's for an early dinner on Sunday. It was pretty busy so bookings are recommended. We were seated in the restaurant area next to display cabinets with lots of interesting memorabilia - I thought it was a nice touch. Place looks really Irish with all the old style décor/furniture, frames, signs and even a bicycle hanging from the ceiling. Ordered the Pork Chipolatas for entre and we shared that - delicious and juicy. For the Main I got a Traditional Sunday Roast Lamb which looked amazingly delicious when it was put in front of me. It was very good, one of the best I have ever had from the stuffing to the Yorkshire pudding. Roast potatoes very crunchy, I wanted more of it. Gravy was silky and there was plenty on the plate. To wash the food down, I of course got a Guinness on tap. Service was prompt and friendly. Upon paying for dinner, we noticed that we had been charged for desserts we didn't order - this was rectified in the end. After dinner, we headed down to the bar area, had loud music so was noisy. Bar service was ok, one of the staff members must have forgotten our order as we had been waiting a while. We informed the bar staff member of this and he poured our two drinks, however after picking up the drinks a random patron came up to my friend and I and took the drinks of us saying that they were his drinks. This was confusing for us so we informed the staff member again who looked confused and proceeded to pour two more drinks this time for us. Overall I would definitely head back to try the other Sunday roasts, apart from the couple of teething issues, I had a good time.
Popped in for a quiet meal and after about 15 minutes fell in love with this place!nnGreat atmosphere with an Irish band playing chilled tunes, staff super friendly and always great specials.nnI had the bangers and mash - very generous serve. The Guinness pie was outstanding we shared plates.
Such an amazing Irish place to visit in Perth.nThe atmosphere with stunning decoration from Ireland and traditional food are phenomenal.nWe had fresh food and well served meals.nChicken curry with McDonnells sauce it's a must.nClub sandwich is a classic dish and it was perfect made.nAnd the special steak was delicious too.nI highly recommend it and I'll probably be back soon
Nice Irish bar. Guinness is so good. I tried Wednesday special steak $20. It was little over-cooked but other things were good. Happy hours are 5to6pm. You can have a Guinness $9. Really good deal.
