Overall decent restaurant, fresh sashimi and reasonable pricing. Only downside is that the staff kept chasing us to order and finish fast. They reminded us 3 times that there is another table after us. It felt you are under pressure to hurry up.

The food was delicious! My favourite is the salmon belly rolls. Everything was so fresh and full of flavour.

The best Japanese restaurant so far that I have found in Sydney from the service, the restaurant design, menu execution and the food taste is literally the best! Definitely will come back often!

Izakaya Samurai is a popular Japanese restaurant located on Military Road in a small business complex. The menu features a variety of traditional Japanese dishes, including sushi, sashimi, tempura, and grilled meats, as well as selections of Sake and Beer.  One of the standout features of Izakaya Samurai is that booking is essential, as the restaurant has limited seating and can get quite busy, especially during peak dining hours. However, this also means that the restaurant is often lively and has a great atmosphere.  Another aspect of the restaurant that sets it apart is the time-limited seating, where we were given time limits vacate our tables within a set time frame. Still worthwhile to head here, great place to eat!

Everything is always fresh and tastes incredible. Love ordering on the ipad as well, makes it so easy and I love how every thing has photos. The food is such good quality and is delicious. The cooked tuna sushi is by far my favourite, as well as the prawn tempura roll!!!

My families absolute favourite Japanese restaurant we come back here multiple times a year. The sashimi is fresh and the service is quick. Really one of the best Japanese places in Japan . Can’t wait to go back.

Been frequenting this great little Japanese Izakaya with lovely lunch bento boxes n alacarte dinner selection for years now.   -Tucked away in a hidden small courtyard on Rangers Road/ Military Road They have specials on the booze from Monday to Friday. $5/ drink Our favourite would have to be their Aburi Salmon which just melts in the mouth with just the right amount of smokiness n sauce .... heavenly! Their specialty , Sushi n Sashimi.   It’s only a small restaurant inside with some outdoor seating.  Booking advised unless prepared to wait. Food n service always good

A large variety of typical izakaya food plus plenty of sushi and other options. All of it very good! Also an extensive drinks menu when compared to other local Japanese options, however the drinks can be pretty pricy but I understand they allow BYO wine - though it's best to check directly with the restaurant.

Brilliant place for a good dinner, this place has to have by far the largest Japanese menu in Sydney. I found for the quality of food and alcohol the price was very reasonable. Very clean environment and great service, friendly staff, quick service too. Oh yeah and the food is great too. Highly recommended.
