We visited Italian Village at The Rocks for a dinner function for our friends wedding. Overall it was a lovely experience, food and service top and we will be back!
Went there for a wedding reception, great food and the staff are very accommodating. Close parking however it can get expensive as you're paying by the hour. Highly recommended for small weddings.
Arrived looking for a light dinner. We were greeted by a lovely young lady, and seated right away. The ambiance was incredible with great views of the harbor. We split a salad and a pizza. The proportions were great!! I would highly recommend the pear walnut salad.
Rustic and romantic is the best way to describe this place. My wife and I had a lovely meal and experience there and were pleasantly surprised. It also fronts right onto Sydney Harbour, so if you're into people watching, you're set. If you're looking to impress that someone special in your life, you won't go wrong taking them here. Great food, atmosphere and location. It's definitely on our "Special places" list. Definitely one of Sydney's hidden gems, shhhhhhhh..... don't tell anyone :-
We were booked in last night as part of our Vivid Sydney experience and to say we were disappointed is an understatement. While the dips and flat bread were good and the mussels were tasty, the following issues were of concern. * I found the menu to be too limiting especially the lack of Italian cuisine; * The service was slow; * When we queried where our second ordered entrée was the waiter simply went on to clear the side plates and cutlery; * The missing entrée that we ordered finally arrived the main meal and only after we queried where it was for the second time; * All participants found the mains were over salted; and * When the bill was presented it failed to allow for the deposit I paid when we made the reservation and it took another 15 minutes to adjust the bill. If our experience was typical I cannot understand how this restaurant survives! I speak as a very experienced world traveller and am very disappointed at this experience in our home town, I have been to more superior Italian restaurants in the suburbs of Sydney and in numerous villages in Italy and many restaurants in the US and Western Europe. While our experience was not great it was not at the one star level otherwise we would have just left!
Lovely!!! I had my wedding there about few weeks ago on saturday and my husband, my guests and my self all enjoyed!! Thanks to Jessica, Lauren and Thomas helping us so much for our most memorable day and all the best If you are looking for somewhere very Sydney for your wedding, having the most beautiful Sydney harbour backdrop for your wedding, this will be the one for you. Professional team will never let you down.
Just been there for a function, therefore I can't speak for its full menu. Very central and easy to reach, the view is simply outstanding. The food is above average, with a special mention for the desserts. The staff, though, was pretty helpless and barely spoke English at all, but we thought they might be hired just for the occasion. The right place for tourists.
Came here for a wedding and it's cute and cozy. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly. It's a building with character but if you are looking for somewhere modern, this isn't the place for you.
The Itallian Village is an awful tourist trap. We had our xmas party here and it was just plain awful. The service was shocking, the waiter made us get up to get drinks off his tray. The food was diabolical and looked like it had been sitting in the kitchen for hours. We couldnt get out fast enough
Been here for a few weddings now, food is okay and it is in a bit of a tourist area, it is very nice area on a clear day, especially if the cruise ships are not in town.
