I just read some of the reviews and I truly agree on Mr. Blownie's comment. I ordered the same what he had on that day, half chicken barbecue, tasteless, the chicken is cooked may be 2 days ago so "lata" in my language and no taste of a barbecue. I was even excited to have a Filipino food. I was so ashamed to my non Filipino partner coz I told him to try our very own food, I even assured him that it tastes good. I thought it was just a bad day but after reading some of the reviews di ako nag-iisa to experience the same.

The restruant give a very home feel to it, not that big and have some very nice comfortable seats. This is on my my good to foods if I feel like having something special. Their Ono pork is a must have also their rib platter is a good price and good size . Again this may not be the flashiest place but it has some tasty food.

Their special made sauce to compliment the Ono pork bbq was delicious and the pasta salad is always satisfying! Great combo

Large servings of delicious dishes -- grilled, fried, stews. Original Filipino recipes with slight Kiwi twists. Accessible with friendly staff. Fast service, too.

Dreary entrance with the cook sitting out front having a durry and follows me in as I walk through the front door. I'm confronted by a dark and dated interior, worn out and cluttered furniture, the display cabinet is almost empty but for two salad bowls of macaroni/potato salad of questionable date of production and a smattering of random things in glass jars that I can only assume are "condiments". Behind the counter is a burned out chargrilling station from when the place used to be a Brazilian BBQ establishment (many many moon ago)..obviously never used or cleaned for that matter. The menu is written in tiny and horrific font with descriptions that probably only make sense to the few Filipino customers that frequent the establishment.... I'm perplexed by this as the sign outside clearly said "HAWAIIAN BBQ" in bold letters abovery the door bUT nothing on the menu really looks Hawaiian. I order what I think is a "safe" option of a half bbq chicken with chips and an extra side of the macaroni salad, plus a can of coke. The bill comes to $21. I cross my fingers and sit down in the outdoor area that is well ventilated and not quite as dark and drab as the inside seating. After 15 minutes I am given a generous serving of hot chips, a apparently chargrilled half chicken, a small pile of coleslaw and a good-sized bowl of macaroni salad. I start into the chicken and my fears are immediately confirmed. The chicken was cooked much earlier and has been reheated on the grill to serve. The macaroni salad is more like a sugary mayonnaise overcooked salad. The chips are excellent. The chicken is strangely seasoned (it's oily as though it has been basted with something, but only really tastes of grill). I think I should have gone around the corner to Nandos, less than 100m away, to eat a well cooked half chicken and fresh sides, in a clean and pleasant environment .... for less money. As I leave having only eaten about half of my meal, apart from the excellent hot chips of which I ate them all, I notice a double vanity hand washing station just inside the front door. This place is random, dirty, decrepit, and the food is rubbish. It is in no way a "Hawaiian BBQ" and hugely disappointing.
