Preston Mosque is located in Preston, Melbourne - a suburb of Victoria Australia. The formal name of the mosque is "Umar bin Al-Khattab Mosque".

The mosque was built in 1975 by the small Muslim community headed by Sheikh Fehmi El Imam, the former Mufti of Australia, may God bless him and prolong his life.

The mosque is owned and run by the Islamic Society of Victoria (ISV).

The current Imam of the mosque is Sheikh Mohamed Abou Eid.

A wonderful place, clean, very organised, people are so welcoming and cheerful. Definitely, i would come again when I'm nearby. My kids loved it as well, we prayed maghrib and ishaa today there.

Good environment and has big parking space

Attended friday prayers and was delighted at the presence of so many people. Friday prayers times are 12:20PM to 12:45PM. (+1 for DST)

Its really a great place to be. We do our prayers and prepare our dead bodies at this centre
