Very handy pub right next door to the hotel I was staying at. Had live music every day, so it's not your "sir down for a chat" kind of place. Decent range of beers on tap, with friendly staff. Had the Aussie Parvy for dinner one night, was excellent a big portion too!.
Love the live music every night. Elevated pub fare for a great price, Guinness on tap and tasty cider. Plenty of places to sit and enjoy the great entertainment.
Noisy pub but the live music makes the crowd noise bearable. Good live music too. Friendly staff, decent food and drinks.Food: 4/5
A wonderful place for music and dance with family and friend. Until you get a racist little security guard in a light blue uniform. Who accused an innocent customer. Don't go on a Sunday night!!!
Great little pub, live music every night Must rave about the seafood chowder…wow great dish with the best walnut an guiness bread on the side Great prices so cheep So good I went back the next night for a second serve Missus ordered the steak and loved it If you are in Brisbane a must visit So highly recommend…great meals and atmosphere Thanks
Best Damn Night of my life Was there on Saturday night with my sister and loved the live music, i think they were called 'Tales for Strangers' or something. They were great.
Great pub with good food and atmosphere, the band had the place rocking Saturday night, loved the cc on tap, Irish pubs are always good but the lads here go the mile, thanks again 5 star
Do not go to this bar, Im a cathloic from ireland, i went in the bar for a cold guiness to find a group on singing Ira songs including bar staff. A member of my family was murdered by the IRA. To find a bar still doing stuff like this is disgusting. This should be an envirornment for all. Very very poor
Staff are awesome, security, the relation to the new bar above them and interaction, the live music 7 days of the week, the location, haven't tried the food yet but plan to :Service: 5/5
I know this is a popular place and as it's normally crowded I figured it must be good, so tried it one night after work Jan 2018 for drinks and dinner. I was bitterly disappointed. The wine list is not very extensive yes, I know it's predominantly a beer place, but given it's 2018 most decent pubs today offer a reasonable wine list, and for the price I paid for a small glass of wine, I'm better off paying a lot more for a bigger glass of decent wine elsewhere. Then it came to the bangers and mash. Perhaps the chef's taste buds are not working properly - this was SO salty I got through an entire litre of water while trying to eat the meal. We had already ordered our meal and were half way through our drinks when we were asked to move as a band was about to set up where we were sitting. Geez, why not just cordon off the area beforehand instead of having to relocate people and inconvenience them? My friend enjoyed his beer and beef and guinness pie, and the decor is quite nice. It's these two latter points that encouraged me to give 2 stars. Sadly I won't be back. I reckon unless you're a beer lover, and you're not too fussy about your food, then go for it. Otherwise just try elsewhere.
