Wow. Absolutely mouth watering experience. First served with Karaage which was the most delicious Karaage I’ve ever had in my life. And of course my ramen was extremely tasty. The original tonkotsu broth ramen! Prawn bao was also very yummy! Overall, this restaurant made my day so happy. I would definitely re visit this store to refill my happiness Thanks you.
We came for a small bite, was seated fairly quickly. Didn't take long for the food to come out. Good was alright and well priced. While we were eating, a staff was cleaning the next table, spraying the cleaning liquid and we were hit by the spray. Was actually afraid it would go into our food, had to cover our food when another staff came back to clean again. Service was a bit slow and had waited quite a while for just a water refill. May not visit again.
What We Ordered: Akamaru Shinaji Karaka-Men Customer Service: 3/5 Taste: 4/5 Ambience: 3/5 Waiting Time: 3/5 Value for Money: 2/5 Ippudo serves up a great bowl of ramen. A really really great bowl. And as with any authentic ramen, the broth was rich and creamy, noodles were nice and chewy, meat quite tender, and egg with a beautiful runny yolk inside. Despite the quality, we were quite indifferent about the price tag attached to it. 20 minimum for a bowl seemed quite steep. But who knows? Maybe part of it is its name value overseas. Regardless, we’d still recommend trying this place at least once if you’re a ramen lover, though, we won’t be back until we’ve got a bit more disposable income to spare.
Ive had Ippudo in Manila, Singapore and Sydney - this is like a bowl of comfort ramen that I have with my kid from Manila. The only difference is that SYD Ippudo has 1.5 soft boiled egg. Overall, kudos to Ippudo being consistent!
Been a while since i've eaten here, but last time I did it was just as good as I remembered. Highly recommend their Shiromaru Motoaji creamy broth ramen with pork loins. There was generous amount of meat and it was tender. The broth was creamy and not too salty. You can tell the noodles are hand-made, they were chewy, thin and well-cooked. The atmosphere is clean and very close to Chatswood station 5 mins away. Would come back :
Ippudo’s Bonito Tonkotsu is my absolute favourite ramen in Sydney. The flavour of Bonito add so much complexity to the pork broth and making the soup very tasty but not too heavy. The price is a bit high in my opinion but the flavour is unique so I think it’s fair. Their Chasu don is also one of my favourite especially if you mix some ramen soup in and eat together! Personally Ippudo is my favourite ramen place in town, so I recommend to try.
You can order and pay at the front desk or sit down at the table and scan the barcode and order through the app. So the app will tell you if any items out-of-stock. Very nice food. We had the Japanese chicken curry. I came back two weeks later and had exactly the same thing because it was great
A hot bowl of ramen at Ippudo can never go wrong. Always so incredible and with extra noodles being only $1, it’s the best dollar you can spend in Sydney.
Had Karaka Tamago and it was delicious. Flavor is almost as thick as in Japan. Seating is quite limited and it’s a convenient location so there’s a line during peak lunch time. Order and pay by QR code at the table.
Ramen is good as usual. Big servings for me. I am a bit disappointed on their new process of ordering with the qr code as we didnt receive the SMS right away SMS code is needed to proceed with order payment. We received the code at around 10-15mins and the code was expired already. We tried with our apple and samsung phones, same issues. Then after trying the online order and wasting our time adding our orders in app then eventually stop trying bec of no code to add. 15-18 mins wasted. Afterwhich, We went to the cashier to order. They should ensure that the app they used is fast and reliable as it also adds time in ordering.
