Just been to this restaurant. Worst of worst experience. There are so many bad reviews that table manner wasn’t good and staff was very unfriendly. Yes! EXACTLY! For this restaurant, they must do staff training to serve customer properly. We ordered bruschetta, burrata, steak and gnocchi. A hair or fur came out from bruschetta so we told to her. She said “ahhhhh” and thats it. There was no action or apology. God sake! Flavour? Nope. It was bloody soggy. Burrata was surrounded by rocket salad and balsamic dressing. You cant say it is burrata mate! Steak was too old school style. They poured mushroom cream sauce on the plate. It didn’t look tasty. If I were chef, I don’t use broccolini for steak garnish too. And....lastly. Gnocchi. It was disgusting. They don’t know how to make gnocchi. It didn’t cook properly as well. All gnocchi was floating on the olive oil. I couldn’t eat it all. How can you sell this disgusting gnocchi for $34? If you want to have worst experience, visit there.
Great food, drink and service. Beautifully set out with great art displays. Fine dining at its very best.
I booked this restaurant on a whim, as it was around the corner from our accommodation, for an anniversary dinner. The decor is elegant but not over the top. The service was friendly, professional and cheery despite being busy. The menu is well rounded and offers many delicious options, so much so that we struggled to decide on which of the drool worthy meals to select! Our meals came out promptly and looked fantastic. While you'd describe it as fine dining, I wouldn't say the restaurant, staff or food was austentacious. As in, we felt at home and relaxed. The dishes were truly flavoursome but honest, allowing the ingredients to tempt our taste buds without being overwhelming. I think masterchef would say, "good balance of flavours" . The wine selection is excellent and well paired with the meals we chose. A sensational hidden gem in Adelaide. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough.
Came here recently for an end of year celebration. Service was great and couldn't fault the food. I had a shared antipasto platter, blue swimmer crab pasta and lemoncello tart. Plenty of food, all tasty. Pricey for a normal lunch this place has table cloths! but perfect for a special occasion
It's been about 5 years since I last dined at Insieme Ristorante and it was every bit as good as I remember. Our host Catherine was excellent and the seasonal specials fig salad and wine delicious. Easy midday CBD location to access I got a 2 hour park on the street opposite, relaxed ambiance subtle background music with the tables and seating allowing for comfortable movement of patrons and staff. I'll be back and have already recommended it to others.
Loved the Italian food.. great service. Each time I'm Adelaide it's must. Wonderful ambiance, great artwork and fabulous food. The best gnocchi I've had. The pork cutlet is a triumph. Yum!
Worst experience ever! Very unfriendly staff, tense atmosphere and the food was very average. My wife had the pasta with blue swimmer crab but they forgot the crab ... haha and it was tasteless! Fasta Pasta could’ve done better. My pasta dish was ok but the smoked salmon was very salty and looked like it had been pulled out of a rubbish bin! The wine was way over priced and the waitress tried to cheat us with the bill charging us for meals we didn’t have. It was only after I disputed it, that she offered a lame excuse that she works so quickly that she hit the wrong button on the cash register, but not really genuinely sorry! Very uptight staff and no atmosphere!!! Worst experience ever!!! Bernie
Just been to Insieme for lunch. There were four of us. If you like small portions of sculptured food that doesn't arrive in a hurry, along with a wine list that starts at $45 a bottle then shoots rapidly up, this place is for you. I was told that politicians and lawyers like to feed there. Possibly because it is quite noisy, so confidential conversations certainly won't be overheard. So, if money is not a problem, and food is art to you, enjoy.
My partner and I recently had the pleasure of a lovely dinner at Insieme, where the food was fantastic and the service attentive but not intrusive. We both made the comment that Tanya and Diane I hope that's correct? were both effortlessly on point in their service. I had an outstanding squid ink fettucine vongole, and my partner the duck gnocchi which she loved. We also had some lovely fresh oysters, good wine, some dessert wines and a good coffee to finish. We felt welcome from the get go and were not rushed at all..quite the contrary in fact, despite being the last couple in the restaurant. Instead of getting the usual hint to leave, we had some fun banter and am emphatic directive to "take all the time you want, absolutely no rush!" which was very much appreciated. My partner promised we'd be back and that's a promise she and I both intend to keep. A wonderfully enjoyable experience all round.
Service is poor, selection is minimal, food was average between a selection of 4 different meals between the table, they forgot a complimentary glass of wine and i picked 3 beers each time they went back and checked if they had them these beers are on the menu and each time they came back and said sorry were out of that 3 times in a row then offered me a random off the menu house beer. Wouldnt go back.
