Went back because it was a Monday night and our normal Indian restaurant (Tandoori Cottage) was closed for takeaway. Soon remembered why we don't go here any more. There are two main reasons. The sauces are very watery to the point where it doesn't mix within your rice, it simply drips through to your plate. Think of the normal consistency of Indian sauce which has been doubled with the same amount of water and that's about the consistency. It may well be because it's "traditional" but it's not what you'd normally expect. Secondly, I find the owners uninterested in their customers. They're not rude, they simply don't acknowledge your arrival, welcome you, say hello, ask how you are, smile, say goodbye etc. This leaves me with the perception that I'm not welcome. If I don't think I'm welcome then I guess I won't go back.

The atmosphere of this restaurant is as good as the food. I can bet on the fact that if someone eats here once then he or she will visit this Indian Restaurant in Glen Iris once again. My fiancé took me to this restaurant for the first time and from then I go to this place whenever I feel like having some good Indian foods. Great place and amazing atmosphere for dining out!!

Delicious food, clean, friendly, good service. I love this place! The food is absolutely delicious; I get cravings for the food here, all the time. Even though it can get busy, each table feels secluded from the others, so its a nice atmosphere. The staff are also always welcoming, helpful and friendly.
