Review update: Star score uprated. I eventually managed to speak to someone who was quite helpful with answering my post office service request. However, still not impressed that I had to ring 4 times over the space of an hour before the phone was answered.
I was in Prestwick post office a few years ago with a complicated request. Took the girl seconds to sort me out. Ilfracombe post office is a disgrace. Absolutely shocking service. Tory England I suppose.
Asked to come back at 2pm as back counters closed and front counter shut between 12 and 2pm long lunch?!. Came back at 2pm to be told that we would have to wait another 15 mins as there was a shop delivery and the only person out of 4 members of staff standing around the doorway who can man the post office also has to oversee the shop delivery. I wonder what the others all do...
terrible examination, it's time for the employee to retire, make 3 mistakes, serve 40 minutes.
Waited ages to be served. One person serving! Badly managed, not the fault of employees.
The post office member of staff with the South African accent stuck a label half off the front of a package, I kindly asked her to replace it. I was told "We can't take them off once they are on!" This is ludicrous! Out of the nine item's I posted that day the item she failed to put the label in correctly and the item has been lost n the post as a result costing me £30 in a refund to a buyer that I asked her to correct. The older guy with the glasses the checkouts is blunt and rude and can speak to customers in a very unprofessional manner, I'm surprised he hasn't been pulled up on this and the same applies for other various members of staff. The shop gets closed for deliveries during opening hours as well so that is another problem with the way the store is run. I'm sure the staff are under a lot of pressure in some some areas so thank you to those of you that are polite and professional
Understaffed. They have 3 tills one person working! Waited 45 minutes and then to be told that it can’t be shipped because ‘it’s not sealed properly’ f*** me do you think I’m new to this? Of course not! I have made over 100+ transactions. It was sealed perfectly fine so don’t waste my time.
Great staff in main shop
Parcel from very was delivered with tracking to this post office and they can't find it
Consistently under-staffed and the employees at the post-office counters are often rude and obnoxious, and always unnecessarily slow! The grocery store is good and the staff are fine. Big changes are needed.
