I am extremely disappointed with my experience at IGA.nThe first issue happened when I ordered an iced coffee. A staff member who had been cleaning the floor with a mop used the same gloves to prepare my drink. She went from cleaning directly to the ice machine and, without changing her gloves, grabbed ice with her hands and put it into my cup. This is completely unacceptable from a hygiene and food safety perspective.nWhen I pointed out that she should not handle ice after cleaning floors with the same gloves, she responded sarcastically and said, “Ok, I will change my gloves.” However, by that time she had already touched the ice inside the container with contaminated gloves.nI reported the situation to the store manager, expecting it to be taken seriously. Unfortunately, his response was, “At least she changed the gloves.” This dismissive attitude toward basic hygiene standards was very concerning.nBecause of this, I stopped buying iced coffee there and switched to regular coffee instead. However, I then experienced another issue. The “coffee manager” never freshly grinds the coffee beans. She simply presses the button on the machine and serves the coffee. As a result, I feel like I am paying full price but receiving lower-quality, secondary coffee instead of freshly prepared coffee.nOverall, I am very disappointed with the hygiene practices and the quality of service. Food safety and product quality should be priorities, and sadly that has not been my experience at this location.
The bakery is putting on clearance similar products that they sell. By the taste I would say it’s not because they are expiring but because they are “cheap”. You can see that is not exactly the same and with the small discount the size is reduced to the half! Soo basically they are selling cheap similar product faking that they are clearing the same ones they sell on the count. Unfortunately this is not very visible on the pic .nAnd the market sells the same items that other markets way more expensive!!
I only go for the butchers part of the store the meat is always 10/10 and the prices are the best I’ve seen , better prices and better quality than Cole’s and woolies. The guys behind the butchers always helpful and friendly. Can walk out with meat for the whole week and it’s just shy of 30$ can’t go wrong at all !
Like Drakes, but newish. Beautiful shop which has a beautiful coffee and cake counter as you enter. Good variety of cheeses and other goods. Their specials are generally really good. Everyday stuff can be a bit more expensive than Coles and Woolworths. Well worth a visit though.
I love IGA.nnThe best supermarket in GC. I bet.nnHigh quality of grocery and friendly staff.nnAnd I got many items with discounted price as well.nnWhenever I visit IGA, I have got great happiness.nnThanks IGA.
