One of the checkout staff is constantly in a "bad" mood, with a constant look I've I don't want to be here. I came in to grab some lunch and the total came to $12.35 so I gave her $22.55 she then proceeded to get my change which was $2 short and thought it a go idea to have ab argument with me for 5 minutes because she didn't count the money I gave her correctly and was about to short change me. The way she spoke to me and acting was disgusting and I expect better from some in a customer service role. I'll will be finding alternative place to get my lunch for the next 8 months I'm working in Cottesloe.
I recently stopped by here as it is my new local grocery store, to say I was unimpressed is being polite. I asked a worker where to find my items, I was told they would ask the manager as he would know better, to which he shrugged it off and said he could not help me and turned away. Dirty floors with spilled liquids and no wet floor sign, I could have been injured, not to mention the smell that lingered. I will not be coming back here. If I could give 0 stars I would.
Great in a pinch. But the staff are very unfriendly. It's clearly a burden when they have to ring you up. My experience has been the middle age women at the checkout, if asked to bad your goods by throwing them passive aggressively into your bag. God help you if you had breakables. Clearly the staff hates being there. But what triggered me writing this post was a 90 yo lady with her granddaughter on an outting. After they went to IGA to get the basic necessities and were off to the chemist. The granddaughter asked if the eggs were broken after that woman chucked them in her basket. And they were. Nasty, uncaring staff.. not ni e and not worth your business. I wouldn't giveth a star at all.
Took 20minutes at the counter to purchase a bottle of milk because they thought me holding a gift that I was given by a friend was their product when it clearly is wrapped in wrapping paper??? Some of the most incompetent and unfriendly staff members I have ever met and when they wasted my time by publicly embarrassing me, they not only did not apologise, they acted like they were in the right?? Never going to here and definitely don't recommend anyone else too.
What's going on with your cashier? It was May 1, around 6pm. I had a shopping bag opened up for him to put my groceries in it but he totally ignored it and put them on the bench next to the bag. Is this a new thing? All customers must bag their stuff?? Or, just some customers?! Tsk, Tsk some are more equal than others.
Popped in here in hopes of finding something for brunch on a Wednesday. Lovely rolls and hot food and pre-packed salads. Very neat and tidy store. Chicken and salad roll was delicious.
On several occasions i have found items in this store that are up to 100% more expensive than at other IGA Stores - in short, buyer beware with what you buy, ripping off seems to be the way this Manager operates. I hate finding these things out, it just make them look as shonky as buggery.
recently renovated. great deli with hot meals/rolls and fresh made coffee available. quality fruit and veg and friendly staff.
Check out Staff generally very young and undertrained resulting in many mistakes at checkout. Regularly understocked. Reflecting the cottesloe demographic in prices, but without the quality of service and produce.
