IGA at the bottom of York St is an excellent and well stocked store, with better than town average opening hours. Friendly staff. Like most IGA stores their prices are a little higher than the big chain stores. However there are 'specials,' and fruit and veges can be cheaper than the majors. Well worth a try.
I like the buffet meal section, where they sell cooked butter chicken, red curry beef, lamb korma, beef stroganoff, fried rice, plain rice etc. The small tub costs $8.95 and the bigger costs $12.95. You can pack as much as you want within a tub. But please no wastage of food .
Bought 2 porterhouse steaks yesterday. Just took them out of the fridge and they're both off. 1 day after buying. Green meat. As in not fit for consumption. Ripped off.
This IGA is well stocked and has a good selection of ready made food for those shift workers out there.
I prefer to shop local to the community and IGA ticks that box.nAwesome range and staff.
