I didn’t want to leave a negative review, but after the horrible phone call I just received from the owner, I feel I need to. I’m now leaving this with the transaction dispute I’ve had to open with my bank, because I won’t be spoken to like that again. I actually burst into tears when I got off the phone, because of the immediate aggression from the owner. Perhaps treat your customers with respect and kindness, especially when they do that for you, and they remain calm for you, and take a deep breath before picking up the phone, so you can be helpful, instead of antagonistic. I placed an order online last week, only to be immediately called by a rude staff member asking if I knew they were interstate, as if that was a severe inconvenience for them, and that $12.50 wouldn’t cover the cost of sending 4 pens interstate with Australia Post. Nowhere on their website does it state they don’t ship interstate, and apparently they do, so I don’t know why the staff member called me about it. It turns out product I ordered wasn’t actually in stock anyway, so I expected to receive a refund or notice of cancellation, but I got nothing, and the money has been processed and taken from my account. I was told to wait 3 business days, which I have. After some emails enquiring about this, I’ve just received a really unprofessional call from the owner, yelling at me, saying they cancelled my order and they don’t have the money, and tried to tell me my money is pending, and condescendingly explained what pending is. It’s not pending. My bank confirmed the payment has been processed, as it shows on my statement, but there’s been no sincere apology and no rectification yet either. I just want my money back, understandably. Just don’t order online from here, especially if you’re interstate, as you may receive a nasty phone call, and it seems no matter who you speak to, it will be a negative experience. It’s really not necessary to treat customers like that, for any reason, but especially when their money has been taken with no product received, and no notice of a cancellation or refund. By the way, the item that’s out of stock is still listed on the website, and I made the order nearly a week ago. Really poor customer service, if any at all.
Purchased an electric standing desk. Installers were great. process was painless. Desk became stuck in the standing position this week. I requested assistance and was impressed with the level of care taken.
My sincerest apologies to the staff of Hunter Office Supplies, for the huge burden placed on you, by me. I assumed printing some booklets would provide an easy shift for someone, instead I had multiple staff whinge that they didn't have time for me, palm me off to other staff members, whine infront of me, gossip around the corner about how they felt about my request, complain that they had to spend all day printing, argue with eachother Infront of me The business owners arguing and complain that I had walked in the door at the wrong time. I would advise you to lock your doors to ensure no customers come in to burden you further. Sorry again for being a nuisance. If you'd like to brush up on positive & friendly customer service skills, I would absolutely love to provide the training.
Purchased a gaming computer and laptop from them. Fantastic service and great price. Not being a computer guru quite the opposite, I class myself as a computer idiot, but the boys in the computer area, explained everything in my language and I received my computer and laptop in 2 days. Professional, knowledgeable and courteous staff. Would highly recommend them for anything computer related.
I would like to say a BIG thank you to John and Cameron in the tech department, I dropped in a elderly lady computer to be fixed up and John and Cameron went the extra mile in helping her out, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HUNTER OFFICE SUPPLIES for your tech support and stationery products.
