First time here. Ordered the $6 and $7 specials. Milkshake and hamburger were very average so I'll avoid next time. Fish, potato fritter, hotdog and chips were very nice though.

I stay in Taupiri and my fav Sunday routine is going to Hot Stuff Takeaways in Ngaruawahia where the staff are almost as good as the food..... I then have my take aways down by the river. Thank you team as my $15 combo and garlic butter is on point   Kid-friendliness: Lots of seats for the kids to sit inside or out.  Parking: Street parking straight outside the store.  Wheelchair accessibility: Easy as access.

Excellent value for money. Got the $15 pack and it was great. Crispy batter, generous sized fish and hot dogs. Will definitely be back.

Great place for fish & chips   But there Burgers need alot of work

Fast service and good old fashioned kiwi fish n chips shop. They are clean and tidy, and their customer service is always courteous. They are usually open most days and late evening.  The store has been around for more than a decade and is usefully packed with local orders.

Great fish and chips. Crispy crabsticks and potato fritters.  $2 chips was a very small portion - not enough for one person.  Thickshake was okay but more resembled a milkshake.  Will return.  Roadside parking was available.

Best fish and chips place in Ngaruawahia. Always nice fish and batter and delicious chips. We always buy the family packs as they are really good value

The worst takeaways I've ever been to. We got an $18 pack with extra $3 chips and 2 Hawaiian burgers. Keep in mind there's only a few of us so $5 chips can usually feed us plus more. We received HALF a scoop of chips that weren't cooked properly, The Hawaiian burgers were sloppy with a weird piece of spam in the middle and no cheese, potato fritters were still raw and batter was chewy. Was a total RIP OFF and not worth $32.
