Clean and decent size community library. It feels very welcoming and perfect place of you have school work or work related assignment to complete where you need some privacy. The library personnel was very helpful and friendly.
I enjoy popping into Hornby library on when I'm in the area. The building is I believe going to be replaced soon as the current bldg is a little small. But go in & you will find books galore, computers with a time limit you can use & staff who are fully dedicated to assisting you the customer in finding that elusive book that you really want for the holidays. This dedication can be found in most libraries across New Zealand but because I live in Canterbury I happen to think our people are the best. Having said that I actually use another library on a regular basis but as Arlo Guthrie sings , "You can get anything you want at Alice's Restaurant Hornby Library".
Community Centre & Library are assets to the Community & Residents, staff either paid or volunteers take great pride in their respective areas, a pleasure to go there.
Staff are awesome. We love coming here because the selection of kids books are good and the kids dvds are a great option too.
Unfortunately the library is quite small and there is not enough sitting areas.
Felt that there were lots of "my fiction" just sitting waiting to be read. Good time and will go again over other libraries.
Very tidy and well set out library. Relaxing atmosphere and good selection of books.
Joined library there. Found two books by an author I wanted to read. So quite comprehensive for a small library.
