After driving close to 4.5 hours from Kings Canyon, finally we arrived at Alice Spring and after checked in, we decided to explore the town. Being a Sunday, all shops are closed after 5pm and only supermarket and restaurants are still open. We decided to have Asian food so came to this Hong Kong restaurant. Though Overall review rating is below 4 but still we still go ahead. Service & Ambient [3.5] Staff is friendly and accommodate a big group like ours. Soon after, people started coming in dinner time. The restaurant looks very Chinese but on the table, you can find a bowl, plate and fork? Would be great to have a pair of chop sticks, then look more like a Chinese restaurant. Food [4] We have ordered various dishes and we did enjoy. The red cut chilli were great and spicy that go well with the dishes. Price [3] I would agree with some reviews that per dish is rather expensive. It is best to have a bigger group so can order a few dishes to share. Parking: On road parking available.
Very good Chinese food, we liked it so much that we came back the second day. It seems that the previous negative reviews were probably to the previous owners. Recommended
Best Chinese food in Alice Springs, which is why I give it 4 s. It honestly has a weird sit down area, so we only do take out.
Food wss good, we had the sweet and sour pork which was really good and the rest of the dishes was ok. Good servings.
Enjoyed the Satay Chicken entree yummo, thought too many onions personal thoughts in Mongolian Beef but flavour was still great. Fried rice good also others enjoyed Pork Spring rolls Dim Sims and Singapore noodles. Good service. Clean and Tidy. Sorry forgot pics this time. Would return.
Take away $12 fried rice - or should I say Spam fried rice - as a fried rice aficionado this sux - steamed rice with some frozen veges and spam stirred in - don’t believe the signs about Winner Winner Winner - fried rice is my gauge and this doesn’t win a dog bowl contest. I hate giving bad reviews but you guys have to up your fried rice game. Can’t comment on the rest - 6pm restaurant empty. Friendly service and very welcoming is the saving grace. Update .. found 3 frozen cocktail prawns - this ain’t fooling anyone. I know it’s only Alice springs and your audience is fairly captive - but you are shaming my Chinese heritage.
Pleasant place to dine. Service was efficient and the meals were delicious.
Didn't deliver the food..... rang restaurant but it didn't even get acknowledged. Took my money though.
We enjoyed dinner at the Hong Kong Restaurant with friends while visiting Alice Springs Friendly service and food delicious Thank you keep up the good work
So disappointed with the food we ordered $74, fried rice was tasteless, beef and black bean -need more flavour, beef satay tastes off, honey chicken okay - chicken and corn soup is the only one that taste good. First time to go there again after few years and still the same :
