Honestly found the place to be just okay. The food here is alright, nothing too special but the wait time is worth mentioning. They do have a sign in front indicating staff shortages which explain it so be ready for waiters to take a bit to get to you and also time before each dish is served. Not the biggest detail but maybe even consider larger straws for drinks with toppings as the ones they have don’t work well with coconut jelly so can imagine how it’ll be with the others.
Very busy here. But, the taste was pretty good and very classic . Also, the prices are cheaper than someone else. Anyway, must be recommended.
The best place for HK style milk tea and lemon tea, would definitely recommend getting drinks here. Food is average to decent, has authentic flavours and extremely cheap pricing. The service is what I would expect at at typical HK style cha chaan teng - it's their culture. Also note, if you spend less than $25, it is cash only.
Just had breakfast at this place. I was looking forward to dining here as my colleague said the food is good. The food was indeed good but the owners were so rude. Asked for a take away spoon as I ordered fried rice to go. They told me the prices of wooden spoon have increased since November 1,2022. The owners could have told me to pay an additional cost for the spoon but they went off saying the price of the spoon has increased as though I increased the spoon price … Could give them 0 stars if possible cause I’ve worked in hospitality before and I would never let my customers feel how I felt. Such a disappointment.
If you’re looking for traditional Hong Kong style dishes, this is a must for you to try! The value for money means that I will come back again and again when I have my cravings. What this place lacks in service though, they make up for in portion servings and taste. French toast; Chicken cutlets with spaghetti; Pork chops with tomato, cheese and rice; Satay seafood fried rice
Believe it or not this is the first time I'm posting anything of this sort but I feel consumers like myself need to know the quality of the staffs/owners of this cafe : on 4 Nov 22 I came in for brunch with a friend, as well as ordered a takeaway fried rice for dinner. The best way to describe the demeanour and attitude of their service if any is as though "it is your the customers duty and obligation to come to us and pay us your money for the food we serve you !". It was like you "owe them money" and you are the low life the moment you stepped in ! The last straw was when I asked for a spoon for the takeaway fried rice, the old lady at the counter PHYSICALLY CHECKED that I did not already have one in the takeaway bag, before a man came out of the kitchen and gave me a lecture about "how expensive it is for them to give wooden spoon away as plastic ones are not longer allowed since 1 Nov 22 and I'll have to pay for one". I have just spent $30+ for the food and what they are going to ask 10 cents for a takeaway spoon ???!!! Didn’t previously they were providing wooden chopsticks and/or plastic fork/spoon at no extra cost that is if you ask for one and so what’s the difference now ???!!! And not forgetting even 10cents will definitely give them a profit on the cutlery itself ! It is not about money, it is the business ethics that these people carries. Did they not face the mirror when they increased their menu prices etc ? I'm sure they'll treat customers very differently if business is bad but business is good and thus they are entitled to that extent. I shook my head and just went away, it was not worth my time and effort to have an argument with them. I cannot give a low enough rating for this place, if you want to be treated that way by other human beings by all means but I will not be going back again even if you pay me.
This is a Hong Kong style cafe restaurant with cuisine similar to those in Hong Kong. You expect minimal service at a reasonable price for average residents as in most cafe restaurants in Hong Kong. I would say that the food is generally tasty and very reasonable in price. I personally like the Baked Pork Chop Rice with Tomato Sauce .
Rude servers with bad customer service! Looks like no one wants to work - all frowns and bad attitude. I’ve seen tables next to me experience their bad service today as well. Someone mistook their order and server simply just said the order they had took was more simple, brushed it off and left the customers hanging. The server is clearly in the wrong for mistaking their order and were not even apologetic. I’ve been here years ago and finally returned knowing they have changed owners but their customer service still remains rubbish. Food and environment doesn’t look clean as well.
You pay for what you get! Don’t expect good service here. A few months ago we came here for dinner and when it’s time for us to pay, we realised that they accepted the Dine voucher. So we decided to use our voucher instead of paying cash. The owner upon realising that we wanted to pay via the voucher the guy wearing glasses suddenly decided to walk out of the restaurant leaving us just standing in front of the counter for 1 min wondering what’s going on…No one came to us to settle our order payment until an old lady approached us from the kitchen and insisted that we paid cash and was quite reluctant to let us pay by the NSW dine voucher but we didn’t give in to her and in the end, she grudgingly just let us used our voucher. After this experience, that just left a sour taste in my mouth. Won’t be patronising this shop ever again.
Really good authentic Hong Kong style cafe serving good Cantonese food. Very similar in style to cafes in Hong Kong. We had the beef brisket soup noodle with special herbs, which was delicious. Also had chicken fried E-Fu noodles, which were also very good but a little bit chilli. The iced lemon tea is also very good. There don’t seem to be enough service for the number of patrons though so service can be a little patchy. Arrive early as the place does get very busy on the weekends. The laksa is pretty average, a bit watery for my taste
