Bing Sutt is the predecessor of Cha Chaan Teng (Tea café) in the 1950s and 1960s in Hong Kong. As the first Bing Sutt in Sydney, Hong Kong Bing Sutt provides the best local Hong Kong cuisine and shares the culture and authenticity of eating experience in Hong Kong.

Every design in Hong Kong Bing Sutt is trying to present the old Hong Kong style. We wish you will enjoy the eating atmosphere here as though you were in the old Hong Kong. Welcome to our place!

We came at around 2pm and lucky there was one table left. There was a long queue before. First impression was the table filled with menu which is very interesting! And there a variety of dishes! We order the beef and raw egg clay pot rice, salted egg fried soft bone chicken, fish cake lettuce soup, signature milk tea and coffee mixed milk tea. There was a bit of a wait for the food. But all was very tasty! I also like the soy sauce came with the rice, and their garlic chilli oil. Both mixed with the rice gave a flavour bomb! Will come back to try other dishes as well
The three treasure dish is very small and not worth the price, wouldn't get it. Clay pot chicken and mushroom was tasty although there are fragments of bone to watch out for, they are like landmines for your teeth if you are a fast eater. Service was attentive.
They have done this place up and it’s great! Ok it’s still very Hong Kong service ie efficient but not helpful but the food has gotten a lot better and having tried it back to back with Kowloon Cafe I think this has leapfrogged it. Salty egg chicken wings are great. Hot pot rice has plenty of crust and ingredients. Fish ball noodle soup is good. No bad dishes from what we have tried will bring my folks next time.
The baked seafood rice was too sweet...lots of cheese. Small serving. The dish from Sun Ming Parramatta is still far better...I'm still hopeful I can find somewhere that produces similar quality and tasting The noodle - too soft...taste was a bit bland... The best thing was the drink...esp on a hot day Average overall
Hong Kong Bing Sutt just recently opened from its reno and its return is glorious! A wider menu offering not just its usual staple but MUCH MORE! So many new offerings to try. We came here for the afternoon tea sets and the portions and tastes are amazing for their value. Can’t wait to come back to try their new items!
3.5 stars experience overall. Comfort food - we had the Fishballs Noodle Soup, HK style Cheong Fun with sweet sauce and Claypot Rice with Pork Patties & Preserved Mui Choi. Reminds me what you can get from food stalls in some Asian countries. No frill service and reasonably priced. The place gets busy during peak lunch and dinner hours. Expect to wait for a table.
Mmm the food and service over all was com si com sa. Nice Hong Kong Style Deco. Fish ball rice noodle don’t expect the bouncy fish ball, taste just average. Pork chop it tasted abit off, it came with 1/2 piece of toast and not so nice scrambled egg. The iced milk tea was just too sweet for my liking, love the look of the bottle. I was abit disappointed with the overall quality standard of produce and taste. Didn’t enjoy my brunch.
I have a thing for Hong Kong food. This is my go to place when I miss Hong Kong. We had the spare ribs with rice, curry fish balls and spare ribs clay pot rice. Clay pot rice is not easy to find in Australia and I’m glad this place has it! Taste and authenticity is on point. Definitely feel like I’m in Hong Kong.
This restaurant was introduced to me by my Hongkongese friend. The menu and the flavor here are authentic without any doubt. However, the waiting time could be unbelievably long, so there is a one-star minus here.
Decent place with solid food. Expect a wait during peak times such as weekends. The service is pretty good, staff is not rude. Noodle is great but the beef is not seasoned and tender enough. The salted egg fries and chicken wings are great. The laksa is terrific. The average level of food quality is great though. Please note between 3pm to 5pm it's afternoon tea time with limited menu options
