Do not deal with this woman. Arranged to sell parents vintage furniture in very good condition. Did not turn up when arranged. Several phone calls furniture was finally picked up. Still waiting for payment 7 months later. Mobile phone now disconnected. One star rating is too high.
One star is far too much. Good business is when you reply to people who have questions about the products you are selling. Not once was I ignored but silly me thought maybe she didn't get my message so head first I sent a second message and again the crikets were chirping. Rude and very bad business ethics. Would I recommend??? It's a no from me and I will review on all social network platforms. From other reviews I have read I'm not the first to be treated with such disregard.
They offer good quality products but your best bet is to take it home with you yourself. I purchased a bookcase on the Thursday and was told it would be delivered on the Saturday. Come Saturday I received no phone call and no book case. I rang five times and not once was the phone answered. On the Sunday I rang again and was told that the lady in charge was away and would ring me Monday morning. I rang after lunch on Monday because I did not receive a phone call from her. When I rang, another person answered again. This person told me the lady in charge was out on a delivery and apologised for the mix. Apparently there is a family emergency. I was told she would deliver my bookcase at 7am the next day today and ring me when she was on her way. It's now past 9am and I am at my wits end. No phone call and no delivery. I do not mind waiting longer for a delivery if there is a genuine reason. But there has been NO communication. They have never once rung me. Every time I have had to ring. And every time I have been told something will happen - and nothing does. Each call makes it harder to be polite. What am I supposed to do? I just want my bookcase.
Don't do business with this company. Very poor communication if at all. Make arrangements to collect furniture but don't show up. Wasted four days waiting before furniture was finally collected. I had to continually make contact to see what was going on. Furniture was definitely worth more than they offered even allowing for their mark up. Thought it would be a stress free way of selling parents furniture after they moved into Assisted Living. Many texts, emails and phone calls later finally got the money agreed to. Use Facebook Market Place or Gumtree instead. It will be quicker in the long run and you won't have to chase anyone for your money.
Unprofessional, runs late, expected me to carry my furniture items out of my house when I clearly told her I didn't want to do that, still did not listen. The lady that owns this Jane, directly lied to me on the phone when I rang up to ask her if she had collected my desk on the driveway that I left out after I moved out. How disgusting! I could have saved over $300 in removalist costs, which I now have to organise! when she had the opportunity to say she wasn't taking my desk but instead she choose to be snide just so she could get the deal of taking my new mattress to make her profits.This woman is only out to benefit herself at the most minimalist cost at the expense of anyone, do not sell your furniture to her because its a waste of your time because she will muck you around, cost you extra money and run late without proper trucks for transport. I hope you ashamed of doing this to a younger girl who is moving and can't afford the costs.
This woman is unbelievable . Purchased a table . Paid for it in full . She has told me every story under the sun . No communication. Will never see the table . This woman is toataly dishonest. Lying the if.
My 93 year old grandfather recently moved into a nursing home and he needed to sell the rest of his furniture, my father called homemakers barn and they said they would be happy to sell the furniture. They have had it since mid December and they have sold the furniture, so my grandfather had gone to collect the money from his furniture that had been sold last week and he had a fall in the store only one customer not even a worker came to see if he was okay and they didn’t give him his money. They made a promise to transfer the money to my grandfather on the 17-02-2020 and they haven’t done it. He had thousands of dollars worth of furniture and appliances go in to the store he has only received $300 back and their excuse is that people haven’t paid yet after they sold them the furniture. fortunately his granddaughter is a solicitor and will be taking legal action against this store. if you are thinking of selling your furniture do not do it through this store.
We have brought several items from this store. Great quality second hand furniture from King size beds to bookcases and a desk. A very busy store with great deals to pick up. Staff are friendly and very helpful. We have managed to pick up our furniture ourselves.
Unfortunately I have sold them furniture, with the promise of $200 being deposited for items well over $1000 and with a week passing and rude and disrespectful texts messages from them, I'll be going to fair trade and civil court... please do not sell to them!.
