Had a difficult time finding this place as it is located within an arcade so directions on google maps really weren’t helpful. The hunt was so worth it to taste these delightful cheese tarts. Only half a dozen flavours to choose from. The tarts themselves are well balanced in flavour. May look small but they’re a perfect size for a satisfying treat that doesn’t leave you feeling sick afterwards.
Nice place that serves delicious cheese tarts. The tarts are always fresh and have a very well balanced sweetness to them which makes them a guilty pleasure. The tart had a nice crispy shell and the filling is soft and gooey. The new flavours that they have introduced are good but not all of them hit the right note. These tarts have a perfect bake to them. The place sometimes runs out of tarts by the evening to better head there early to make sure you can grab your favourites.
Don’t know what on earth they put in these but they are magnificent. Soo beautiful and tasty, great flavour selection. Filling to crust ratio is perfect. Amazing treat, would go again and again! Mango passion fruit one is exceptional. :
Delicious Japanese treats, a little pricey, but these baked cheese tarts are worth every penny. Plenty of different flavours to choose from. Staff were friendly and time efficient.
Lovely dessert choice for after dinner. May have peanut dust as informed by staff so kids couldnt eat. Would be nice if they had peanut-free options.
My bf and I love Egg tart. So we tired to find the good egg tart shop and we got here. There were variety types of tarts. So it was funny and interesting to chosen them. My bf said Salted caramel is the best thing.
Don't be fooled by the name. It's a Malaysian brand that has nothing to do with Hokkaido. Horrible service experience. When I picked up the tart around its edge in the shop, using my fingers, it broke in half and spilled everything on my shift. The staff ignored us and continued on with their box packing. After I cleaned myself, I asked the staff for a replacement tart. They asked us to pay for it, and I walked away. The tart costs nothing compared to customer experience. Profit is the only thing that they have in mind.
Absolutely delish so full of flavour and you can taste the quality of ingredients that is used to make them. My boys loved them too. Ashton loved salted caramel and Brandon loved the chocolate one. The fillings in them are so good and love that they are all so different. They are one of the best baked cheese tarts I have had. Check out @hokkaidoau they have a few locations in melbourne. You can buy them individually or in a box of 3 or 6. How cute is the packaging We had the following Blueberry Yuzu lemon flavour Popcorn Butterscotch Salted Caramel Strawberry Chocolate Which one would you choose?
Hokkaido Cheese Tar is one of the best cheese tart that ive ever had so far. I love the original one. But actually they got many selections of of cheese tart that you can choose from strawberry, blueberries, cheese and of course the famous one is original. The staffs was so friendly and kind
I'm not one who picks tarts as a preferred desert option, but then I tried the ones here; smooth, silky, and just a touch of sweet and this is why I think the original flavour is the best 4 other flavours: blueberry, strawberry, Yuzu tastes orange like, and apple. Go for the berries if you want something bit sweeter/different sweetness is not overpowering if you're worried. Tarts are still just as delicious the next day out in room temperature. If you like coffee, try the coffee pan best eaten fresh when it's warm, fluffy and the buttery filling is still melted sign up as a member before you go as you'll get a 15% discount voucher upon sign on, and you'll earn points to redeem free tarts later.
