This place was okay for pub food and service, but tonight’s service and food was TERRIBLE. We are a group of 6 including 1 child. Our food arrived 45mins - 1 hour wait Including kid’s meal, which is just chicken nuggets and chips - 45 minutes for this and the rest of the food arrived a few minutes later. Mains arrived, we ordered two of the same lite prime rib, the server didn’t know which one is well done and which is medium - just took a wild guess and passed the plates on us. I got my steak, notified one of the staff i got a well done steak instead of medium and all i got was a passive aggressive response of “that’s not well done” and just walked away. Another mains arrived which was a traditional cut, but it also came out as a lite cut. Which they happily changed, but then again - this particular steak was not done right and the sides were missing in some orders. The one star goes to the very apologetic manager who was very nice to take feedback from us and tried to make our night better! Ps. Change your oil. The calamari tasted like burnt oil
Went last week on a weekday lunch, it was quiet and not busy. Ordered a light cut prime steak with mushroom and a light cut prime steak with teriyaki sauce. Then I started to look at google reviews of this restaurant and those negatives feedback made me worried how bad will the food will be. As a result, the food taste delicious as we were expected before reading the bad reviews. I wondered why the bad reviews? Nothing bad happened, the teriyaki sauce was not salty and everything we ordered is good. As per hog breath traditional, the staff greeted us and asked us if everything was ok. We have not been eaten hog breath for many years since the Indooroopilly branch closed down. Now the same good taste and feeling is back. We finished all our food. I hope they keep up the good cooking and customers service. Have not try dinner or on weekend, hopefully when they are busy, they won't turn bad. I less one star from the review was for the cost, it was quite expensive to have a lunch for almost $80 for two persons. Parking: Good parking just infront of the restaurant.
Absolutley great! I had a ceaser salad and OMG. It was great, service was amazing, super friendly staff. Sharing some pics of dessert - kids banana split and sticky date pudding - will be back! Kid-friendliness: Got colouring books upon sitting down at our table and kids meals came out super fast! Kids meals came with ice cream and juice.
I had dinner here with a friend on Wednesday night and was pleasantly surprised at how good the food is for such a reasonable price. We got margaritas too which were delicious! Everyone was friendly and helpful, definitely recommend!
It’s great watching you guys processing the dine in orders while I wait here for my order. 1 hour 5 minutes since the DoorDash app said my order was ready. Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly but glad I didn’t bring them I’ve had to wait so long. Parking: There was heaps of parking options while I waited for my DoorDash takeaway order. Plenty of room to sit and wait. Wheelchair accessibility: Looks wheelchair friendly enough, I’ll need a wheelchair after waiting so long. Dietary restrictions: Does waiting so long for your order count as a restriction? Forced diets don’t count.
Had lunch with my family here on a Sunday and the coffee and food was delicious and well priced. What impressed me the most was the service, I was so impressed. On top of the great service, the waiter noticed me opening a birthday card from my parents and organised a complimentary Birthday Sunday and Happy Birthday highly recommend this place for nice lunch or dinner
Hogs breath used to be a name synonymous with the notion of high quality tender steak. Tonight, armed with the memory of a better time, I ordered a Mega steak extra size with a Hickory glaze. Unfortunately, as opposed to having a “more of a good thing” steak experience, I was faced with the laborious task of finishing an extra large tasteless chunk of flesh. The ratio of fat to meat on this cut of meat was like something you would expect to see in a servo pie, and the ambient temperature of the internals was slightly warmer than your average Australian roadkill. The crunch to the broccoli was similar to indulging on a piece of freshly cut bamboo or a raw sweet potato. On a plus side, and supporting the addition of the second star of this review, the curly fries were a staple and tasteful item and the staff were bubbly and happy to help out!
The double cheese burgers where good but the over all experience was not! Its like eating in a busy play ground. We waited far too long to be served each time. Yes it was busy but I noticed a alot family's being served as soon as being seated while we had been waiting for staffs attention for 40 minutes.
3rd time eating here. Worst experience. The drinks guy came over.. and tilted the tray that much above our table we then watched 4 drinks spill all over the table.. covering my mobile phone and from my waist down.. in coke. The immediate concern was a let down. No offer of a towel.. no offer of moving tables.. absolutely nothing. Just a restaurant full of looks from every other customer.. how embarrassing. It wasn't until I said to cancel everything and we were going to leave that someone had some concern and was offering a dish rag to wipe myself down. That was the disappointing part and then to charge us full price.. the inconvenience should have been a free meal or atleast 50% off. Absolutely appalling.. I will not return to this particular establishment due to the audacity to charge us full price still after covering us in coke.
Kids Mac and cheese was spicey told by the waitress who was very lovely and took it to the kitchen who investigated it but never offered a replacement meal, so my son had a handfull of curly fries for dinner. Then when we went to pay I asked for a discount on the kids meal and was then offered to talk to manager box dyed red hair who proceeded to tell me my child had a sensitive taste pallet which I'm sorry but myself and my partner both tasted the mac and cheese and it was spicy mild to us but not for a 3yr old. We then just paid as we got nowhere and there was now a line of people waiting to be served. Not a great experience.
