Historian Hotel

Love the Historian. Beautiful old pub and great atmosphere. Been coming here for years. Excellent in all areas of food, vibe, beers on tap and service.

2nd visit. Went in and told to order through the QR code. In a bit of a rush because it's lunch time at work so ordered just the dips. An hour+ later did not arrive. Awful service. Disappointed after a previous great experience. 1st visit: What a burger! Yummy sauces juicy beef. Great cheese. It's a very pleasant surprise in Adelaide. Close to the best I've had in a year or more

Good location and interesting old building, but the management is poor. The last 2 times I've been there there was no chef one time and no fridges or tap beers the last time. Shouldn't be that hard to get a cold beer and lunch!

We had a staff lunch here and I will definitely come back to try more off the menu. Size proportions are just right, it is a little pricy but staff are prompt and courteous. Bar has a very nice atmosphere for quick catch ups in little groups.

Small but cool place hidden down a laneway. Look out for the lane closure for the party they do in summer

Excellent venue for a comedy show during the fringe. Had a few $9 beers and a plate of fries beforehand.

Very good battered flat head and many other good looking dishes, decent choice of beers

Lunch today. Meals were great and quick to the table. Parmi, steak and squid were all well presented and tasty. Upstairs was very handy for a quieter experience. Couldn't get the QR code on the table to work but easy enough to order meals and drinks at the counter.

Order food from an app, that’s fine. Drinks come out right away. food on the other hand, A bowl of chips took over an hour to reach the table. No staff to come check up on your orders, half the table got orders in 30mins the other half got orders in 1 hour 10. If you’re on a time line skip this place altogether.
