Soooo was pretty pumped to try these amazing pizzas others have commented on. But once you get past the good looking oven it is all down hill. Ordered the pesto chicken pizza. Store bought base - I make my own they’re not hard, but store bought is good when you’re in a rush, not on holiday but - and topped with super chunky chicken probably over cooked hours earlier - dry and has that texture of reheated chicken - finished off with thick slices of the cheapest, yet to ripen garden variety tomato. Told the waitstaff I didn’t want to pay for the pizza as it was not very good. Without much of a word or personality she hurried off to fetch the boss. So to him I highlighted where the pizza was lacking in quality to which the reply was - “chicken was cooked today, bending a slice over on itself to inspect the base it’s cooked - nothing wrong with it.” Then walked away… so when faced with the option of dining at PKs or elsewhere, I suggest elsewhere, as most other places actually care that you enjoy the food… the bottled beer was cold though - well done.
My experience wasn’t the greatest. Ordered a palmy, the salad tasted 4 days old and the $16 cocktail I got with it was made up of flat cheap soft drink so unfortunately won’t go back. Also a flat white coffee shouldn’t have froth, my take away flat white was easily 50% froth and far to hot to drink. Not so friendly staff need more trading
We stayed last week at the resort and had PKs for our dinner which was so handy as it was a public holiday and didn't want to head out as alot of places were shut anyway. The southern fried Barra burger was delicious and the kids loved their nuggets. We also had breaky when we left and the hubby raved about his eggs Benny burger and the coffees hot chocolate and chocolate milkshakes were good as well. Lots of staff very helpful.
It is a sourdough bakery offering all manner of breads, pies, croissants, filled baguetts, soft drinks, flat breads, pastries. Look in the cabinets, if you don't buy something you are stronger than I am.Food: 5/5
Great casual setting. Amazing food. Great customer service. Music was the perfect playlist and noise level. This is a relaxing spot. Don't expect the staff to wait on you and to float around for all your needs. It's chill and at your own pace. Absolutely perfect.
So far so good. Had lunch there today. Duck spring rolls were cheap and delicious. Snitzel burger was also delicious. Prices were very reasonable. Location is great as its off the main road and next to the pool. Havent tried the wood fired pizzas yet but it looks great.
A real shame that the pizza bases are shop bought and not homemade/fresh dough. I would have just gone to the supermarket and bought some if I’d have known this prior. The toppings were ok, but the poor quality pizza base really lowers the standard of these pizzas
Best pizza hands down, eggs benedict fantastic, good assortment of cocktails to enjoy during happy hour.. Had several meals and snacks here and thoroughly enjoyed them all, along with the friendly service. Highly recommended.
Stayed at the resort recently and had some wonderful meals at this delightful little cafe. Best wood fired pizzas I have ever tasted. Staff are so wonderful and friendly and food really great value for money. I was pleased to learn that you can dine in even without staying at Ivory Palms and use some of the facilities, so as a Sunshine Coast local, we will be back. The kids love the jumping pillow and we can enjoy a pizza and drinks while they swim. Brilliant.
Wait staff were not pleasant at all and unhelpful. I ordered the battered flathead, chips and salad. The fish was over-battered and oily, chips where ok and salad was slathered in a creamy dressing. I asked for a slice of lemon but you would of thought I was asking for a kidney from the waitstaff. It’s obvious from the manager and staff they have a monopoly at this resort and know it. Also the pizzas may be “cooked” in a wood fired oven but the bases are from a packet.
