We went to high falls restaurant twice during our stay in Port Douglas. The owner Lynn surprises us every time when we visit. The view is fantastic. The food is sophisticated. One of the must dos!

I have been visiting this "Farm" since the early nineties, when Ron Berry was the owner. It is a great peaceful location and the food is just fantastic. Try their plantains- yum. This restaurant never fails to please. we will be back again very soon.

Had the Big Breaky last sunday,was huge and good

This restaurant is unique in that it only has one wall. . The other three are open, looking out over an exotic fruit orchard and a spectacularly clear and rapidly running creek. 

The food was utterly fresh. Nothing overly fancy, but made such that the sand unique qualities of the fresh produce shone out and flavours balanced perfectly

Staff were friendly but not obtrusive.

And the little dog who is "absolutely not ever allowed into the restaurant" had a great time entertaining our 3 year old as we ate (there's also a toy basket, a nice touch for those of us with children).

But even if the food was just mediocre (it isn't) the atmosphere would more than make up for it. Sitting next to the creek, watching and hearing the birds, soaking up the natural beauty of the area - its a little slice of tranquility, laid back, languid, and just wonderfully relaxing and refreshing. 

And for what you get, the price is dirt cheap.

We didn't want to leave.
