I am writing on behalf of my mother who doesn't have a computer. She has been attending Helen's Hair Care for years and has found Helen to be friendly and professional, and the salon is always spotlessly clean. She also described Helen as being fastidiously tidy.
NIGHTMARE HAIRDRESSER - UNPROFESSIONAL / TALKS TOO MUCH / BAD SERVICE / AVOID! Really disappointed. Do not go here! Head to a professional salon. The whole experience from the booking to leaving was so bad! Owner phoned me at 1.05pm to say there was an appt at 1.30pm. Dropped everything to get there on time only to have to wait 25 minutes. Once I was in the seat she said she couldn't blow dry my hair after confirming she could do a wash, cut, and blow dry over the phone...I wouldn't have booked if she'd said that over the phone as I was going out for a special occassion that night. I have long hair and told her I wanted a trim to get rid of the split ends. She cut 3x the length I had asked for and before I could see it was too late - I went from long hair to a bob. She harped on about liking it but sorry, that's for the customer to comment on. Over the phone she said I could sort payment after the appt because she didn't have eftpos and couldn't quote me until she saw the length of my hair. When I told her I would transfer the money she went on and on about people that have ripped her off and that she didn't do store credit. Literally went home, tried to straighten and style it and ended up in tears.
