Story

Hedges Construction began with the inspiration of George and Helen Hedges, with their vision to provide fresh, modern, innovative and distinctive homes to the building industry in Hervey Bay and surrounding areas.

With more than 25 years of local building experience, the Hedges team are committed to providing high-quality homes and commercial constructions.

Hedges Construction's employees, contractors and suppliers are locals who have families in the Hervey Bay area. Many of the staff have been with Hedges for more than 10 years and form a valued part of the company.

George's wife Helen is devoted to helping clients with her artistic talents for interior design and colour schemes with an emphasis on achieving the client's wishes, as well as helping George with the day-to-day operations of the company.

George is extensively involved, keeping clients informed about their projects, designing, estimating, job site quality control and workplace health and safety.

Hedges Construction also likes to give back to the community by sponsoring local sports groups such as Breakaways Netball, PCYC groups and making donations to the Mater Children's Hospital.

The team at Hedges Construction have won numerous Regional Master Builders Awards and a Queensland State Award. These industry awards have been received for complex residential building projects.

George's philosophy is 'good communication' between clients, tradies and builder, which he believes will achieve optimal results for the projects.

Hedges Construction can boast a large number of completed projects ranging from in-house plans to architecturally designed homes and large commercial projects.
