Best Chicken Fried rice in New Zealand! I come here every time I’m down in Hawera. I love this place for a good feed to eat now or later. I order no onion that’s what there ain’t any in the pic.
When i called in an order, she said 15mins. I got there 20min later and they went cooking it. 2min later they started cooking it. Another 10min later i got it. Then i asked... if its gunna take 30min. Plz tell me that. Then she screamed at the poor HHS studend serving to give me my money back and for me to take the food. She yelled athim and me again.... i took the money and threw her bloody food back at her. Never again....
Placed usual order of large bami goreng and large honey chicken on fried rice with extra honey sauce, and the honey chicken on fried rice comes out half the size of the bami goreng! When I asked why the large wasn't large like usual the adolescent boy tells me it is the large when every other time the large honey chicken on fried rice has been same size as the large bami goreng. Then cook ignored me and walked away. Very unprofessional very rude and very rip off. We'll never go back!
Paid top dollar for crumbed fresh cod, got battered flattened fish, not that impressive. Chinese dishes were good sized servings but not overly tasty.
Ok. Sometimes get the wrong order. Asked for bbq pork fried rice but got steak instead. Anyway still tasted ok.
Phone orders must not matter like walk in orders. Stood there for 30 minutes waiting for $5 worth of chips. People who ordered well after me recieved there meals Chips were over cooked and cold when I received them. Also after touching the cash from the till they go straight into the fridge and touch the food
Do they have new owners...got the Chinese smorgasbord for tea and was absolutely disgusting. Use to be so nice gone to the dogs now!
I have always gone to this shop to get my fish and chips, but when I say always it only happens about twice a year. Thought I'd treat myself to Schnapper and chips tonight. Bad decision. The chips were well over cooked and hard the fish, well it may have been a piece of schnapper poorly cooked and tasted awful. I won't be going back.
My order was not like it used to be, salty average tasting wontons and extremely chewy sweet and sour pork. Back in the day it used to be one of the best places around they must have new owners now.
Have brought me a $14 burger meal. 1 chicken an 1 steak. Chicken fillet was that flattened an hard that if u bit it. It would break your teeth. Also my bun to my burger had that much tomatoes sauce on as if that was gonna cover up my burnt bun.
