I had the real pleasure of being immersed in a Forest Bathing session with Jo and Katie at the Harry Edwards site near Guildford .As well as being a wonderful restorative experience that embraced all the benefits of Forest Bathing ,there was that extra something that I also took from the session ;this was the tranquility and seamless partnership that Jo and Katie bring to the experience by being such wonderful Forest bathing guides .This was not just two guides working together side by side ,this was two guides who were just so skilled and empathetic towards the needs of running a group, and so able to work in harmony with each other that the session just felt like "flowing magic "capturing all the forest has to offer. We were all made to feel truly at one with nature but also in harmony with each other, which is such a wonderful thing to take from a session.
Like Julie, I had my first experience of Forest Bathing in the session run by Katie at Merrist Wood I've just been a lot slower to review it. The whole idea of being much more mindful of the trees and the environment they create was very thought-provoking, and Katie's liveliness and enthusiasm is very contagious. I thoroughly enjoyed it and have been demonstrating the "deers' ears" technique to anyone who will listen since!
Jo and I shared 3 hours together in SW20 London. It was a beautiful open space and it was wonderful to explore the extent of Forest Bathing. Jo clearly has ample insights and a passion behind her so the conversation was fluid and detailed. There was a perfect balance of silence as we practiced forest relaxation. An utterly delightful afternoon!
Forest Bathing was new to me. I really enjoyed both sessions so much at Merrist Wood. Ever since, I've been practising some of the skills I learned in the garden especially the "Deer Ears" technique. I even wrote a song about Forest Bathing. Thank you so much to Katie and Jo for these wonderful, inspiring sessions. x
I attended my first Forest Bathing experience yesterday under the inspirational guidance of Joanna Bristow-Watkins. Joanna held a safe space where I immediately felt calm and able to connect with nature. Using the techniques Joanna suggested and the facts she told us all about the complex, magic and healing forest, and our 5 senses, we dived deep into ourselves and the connection to the nature that surrounded and held us. I was personally attending to get conformation that Forest Therapy/Bathing was something I wanted to look into doing myself. I can now 100% say that this will be my next chapter and I very much look forward to guiding people in the future, hopefully achieving a similar, healing and helpful space that Joanna so wonderfully held for us all!
Forest Bathing + was an outstanding experience conducted under the expert tutorship of Joanne Bristol-Watkins. It can be enjoyed and offer benefit on many levels- firstly Joanne provides you with the sensory techniques to experience a wonderful re-connection with Mother Nature. A heavenly experience. It is also an excellent exercise in mindfulness that should be incorporated into the practice of mindfulness and meditation. Forest Bathing + is a positive therapeutic experience. Joanne never stops offering her pearls of wisdom which make the experience so extraordinary unique. I will go again.
Wow … I’m lost for words … really at a time when anxiety is at an all time high & one can feel lost in contestant decision making this is the true anti dote… it’s not walking for miles in woods or swimming in them .. but a sensory delight in being totally and utterly at peace … Joanna & Katie are so natural I felt like I was in their house and being welcomed to try the homemade tea and cakes of alll different varieties.. being shown .. slowly the smells sounds and touch of the forest in this way feels like I’m free to have the fun my body has been craving for years … gone was the angst …no judgement here just welcome , come and sit &”be” for a while … I felt totally nurtured by the sounds of gentle wind in the tree canopy … loved. & cared for my the words of what this environment offers … & left feeling a million light years younger!!! Thank you! I’ll be back every month .. no one should be without this & you guys are totally connected to every bit of these stunning woods xxx
I thoroughly enjoyed my Forest Bathing Session at Canon Hill Common. Such a beautiful experience, brilliantly guided by Joanna Bristow Watkins and Katie Robinson. I simply felt 'lighter' and more energised after the session, and would definitely recommend Harmony In Nature as your guides.
What a fantastic experience Forest bathing on Horsell Common SSSI a mighty hub thank you to the wonderful Katie Robinson and Joanna Bristow-Watkins of Harmony In Nature… thoroughly enjoyed this nature sensory journey… My simplistic way to describe this adventure… Commencing with a discussion, learning how the trees communicate using the “Wood Wide Web” under the forest floor. We walked, slowly, mindfully using all our senses…. observing the sunlight, or rain, watching the trees, how they grow to give each space to thrive, sitting or standing - feeling the wind and how it affects the different leaves, the sunlight, sniffing the scents of the woodland… lastly drinking warming woodland tea and enjoying a wild nature meditation.. all whilst calming our sympathetic nervous systems… a blissful couple of hours in nature…thank you, can’t wait to come with you on a journey again… hopefully combined with a day retreat here @woodhavenspace
My son age 11 & I really enjoyed Harmony in Nature's Forest Bathing+ experience. The setting alone was beautiful...highlights included All of it particularly the guided meditation lying down under the forest canopy at the end. Thanks Jo
