Had 6 nights in a front cabin while we visited family in Bowen. The cabin was clean, comfortable and quiet. Right next to the pool for a quick dip. Nice view of the harbour, and walking distance to the fish and chip shop. If you are there, order your meal and eat it on the deck looking over the water, while you have a cold drink. Very pleasant relaxing stay for us. I really rate it highly. Thank you Debbie
Stayed for one night. Clean room and bathroom. Quiet area, the road beside us did not bother us. Might bother sensitive sleepers? Very basic kitchen equipment in the room, but we found what we needed. Pool was a bit dirty, saw some trash floating around. We were given two bath towels and a bath mat, we wished there would have been a hand towel for the bathroom.nFriendly staff, easy check in and check out process.
Pet friendly powered site at caravan park. Upon arrival, 3 vehicles were ahead of us and queued onto the street. Low speed and low volume road, so isn't too much of a concern, but something to consider if travelling in a convoy as 1 large arrangement vehicle / caravan combo takes up the driveway stopping area. The entry has a drop down chain thing which did go up between someone's vehicle and their caravan, so they had to get help from management to lower it down again. There was a nice cool breeze in the afternoon and the shade of the tree, but dead still no breeze at night for those in tents etc. The shared tiolet and shower block was a bit messy. Dirty tiolet bowl / seat, paper towel left on the sink and clothing bench, hair left in the sink, water pooling and not draining away. Some road noise from vehicles racing up to the lookout think loud exhausts and tyre screeches etc but otherwise general traffic noise was fine. A few long term residents on site and there was a DV incident during our stay late at night. Pool area was nice and shaded. Shallow to deep parts. Good for a dip / swim to cool off. Nearby parkland and skatepark, playground etc for families. Camp kitchen was very basic. Not the best nor the worst.
Our stay at Harbour Lights Tourist Park started off a little shaky — reception seemed to be having an off day, so check-in wasn’t quite as smooth as expected. But once we were settled, everything turned around. The cabin was clean, tidy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The views over the Bowen foreshore were just beautiful — the perfect backdrop to unwind and enjoy the evening. Overall, a lovely spot once you’re settled in!
This is a nice park in a good location close to the harbour foreshore. We had a shady spot with a bit of grass for our tent. The bathroom toilet shower rooms were nice but needed paper towel or a hand drier plus a mat as they got very dirty in the morning with sandy shoes. Kitchen was clean
