Hanlan's Bar & Restaurant

Basic buffet with oysters and quality prawns. As it was relatively inexpensive, we didn't expect a huge variety of seafood. Salads were excellent. Red fish curry also very good. Service was good. Everything was fresh. Based on our experience, I think other reviewers are being mean. See photos for what was on the buffet and how fresh it was. Wines we chose by the glass were excellent.

It was fantastic. VERY fresh seafood, super yummy. The atmosphere was nice and the place itself is clean. The other selections of food was OK and very tasty. Desserts were good too, my sister has very bad allergies and wanted to know if the desserts had been handled or contained food she’s allergic to so the chef came out to speak to her which was lovely! The staff are great and don’t stop coming over to take dishes and fill your water up! I would most definitely come back!

Great staff and atmosphere, food was pretty average and for a seafood buffet I was pretty disappointed, only pawns and mussels on offer even though the pictures have crab. For an Easter Saturday it was pretty dismal. Desert was good although there was a mouldy strawberry in the fruit platter that was pretty hard to miss. Luckily we were using the I venture card or I would have been pretty unhappy with the cost and food. I don't think it really qualified as a seafood buffet as you get more variety in pretty much any buffet restaurant.

Minimal choice of seafood. Oysters filled with shell, prawns and mussels. They can barely call themselves a seafood buffet. Had to continually ask the waiters to clear our plates and renew our shell bowls. The lighting in the restaurant is ridiculous, it's dim and is obviously this way so people feel fuller. I've had better dinners and service from KFC. Anyone reading this review and considering going to the seafood buffet, take yourself to the Marriott's seafood buffet instead which is very close by and a thousand times better.

My husband and I have had a truly wonderful evening tonight and would highly recommend dining for the value and quality of the seafood buffet. Hands down the freshest and sweetest king prawns I've ever experienced. The overall variety of dishes was lovely with a really delicious array of desserts to finish and we must thank the chefs for their work. The welcome was warm and friendly and the table service was faultless, also a credit to the staff. We will look forward to returning for sure!

We dined on a Wednesday night for the seafood buffet and found the selection ok but what was available was very fresh and tasty. The service was very very good with our waiter anyways topping our water up, refreshing our hand washing water constantly. Excellent service. Only complaint is the ambience which is quite average at best.

Food a little more improved than last time we ate here. I particularly liked the braised lamb dish, the meat was tender and had good flavour. There is also a different chef, I met him and he sounds like a cool dude. And I'd say he would have a bit to do with the improvement in the food. Only thing that hasn't changed is the seafood selection, it's still not very exciting. But there were some really nice dishes this time which was great.

Had a great time at Hanlans seafood Buffett tonight. Food was fresh and delicious and staff were incredibly efficient at clearing the plates and attending to our needs. Nikki greeted us and provided outstanding service throughout our meal. There was a good range of food choices considering the small size of the food section. This place has really improved!! Would definitely return!

Really pretty restaurant with candles on the tables. Quite romantic atmosphere. Not busy when we were there but with more people it would have a better vibe. Food fresh and there is a good selection of seafood oysters, prawns, mussels , hot food including rice, salads, beads and antipasti such as salami, cheese, crashers, olives etc. Dessert and coffee available - not the best. Good bar selection with cocktails priced at $16 each.

What a wonderful dining experience. Vinod greeted us at the door and throughout the night all the staff were so incredibly prompt, friendly and professional all night. The food was delicious, excellent quality and flavours all hit the mark. I would highly highly recommend the seafood buffet on Saturday nights. A+++
