I like the display style of this Asian market. More specifically, it’s a Korean market. Japanese goods are second most. Then a few Chinese stuffs, which is a pity since there are more Chinese living in Toowong area. Also most Korean goods don’t have the English translation. I have to use an app to read the instructions of some goods.
This is a great Korean supermarket. Great variety of products, good quality Asian vegetables, nice pre-cooked Korean meals they're cheap and delicious! and friendly staffs. I had a Kimchi bacon fried rice yesterday and it was great.
My daughter and I felt hungry when we passed by today, so we bought three boxes of food from the mart kitchen...we ate them, they were yummy. But, more than one hour later, both of us felt stomachache, and went to the toilet. Luckily, it seems to be not very serious, but the feeling is still bad.
This store has recently relocated from the corner of Jephson St and Sherwood Rd and is now located in Toowong Village. It's an impressive new store with a good layout and huge selection of fresh produce and Asian grocery items at competitive prices. In addition, it has a mini Korean Kitchen takeaway section as well as having licence for takeaway packaged liquor.
I bought garlic from fresco and put it in my trolley, when I wanna pay my bill, the staff ask me where the garlic from and I told her, she still asked for the receipt, I am not used to getting receipts. I don’t think the store have the same brand garlic but the staff still needed me to prove myself. If I want to thrive, why I put it on my trolley so that everyone can see it?? It was so ridiculous and insulting, I don’t think it’s a little thing.
Really enjoy the variety of products found at this store. Stars taken off for inconsistent service provided by hotfood staff. I understand it gets busy at times, and I was happy to wait for the staff to prepare. Staff missed the sauce and side dish and said she could not find a rubber band to keep the food box shut for transportation. If you are closing and could not provide the whole service please just tell your customer.
The one stop shop for all things in Korean food. Really friendly staff AND there is a takeaway section of freshly cooked food. Yum!
Communication breakdown. It's not often you go somewhere these days and strike out 3 times to find an English speaker. If this were an Asian supermarket run by Indians I'd bet I would have faired better. Not great. The selection was literally just Asian, as in Chinese. No other Asians... yet enter one owned by Indians and you get both their Indian products and a spray of other Asian foods. Why is that you guys? Hmm?
The staff at counter is very rude, she doesn’t know how to treat customers friendly. I can see her disdainful face. The key thing is she talk to customers with very rude and disrespectful language
This supermarket should pay attention, the charges for some products do not match the actual prices! I didn’t notice it before, but later I found out that the bill for Flammulina velutipes was $0.51 more than the listed price. I asked the clerk to check the price twice before and refunded the difference to me, but it was wrong again when I checked out today. I asked why the price was always wrong. , the waiter told me that the offer was over. But the discount is over, why not take this special price tag away? And does this problem happen over and over again?
