Friendly staff excellent service . We were craving for sushi , went there around 830pm without reservation . Food was good , great variety , the only drawback was the Otoro sashimi , it was a huge disappointment , I have tried otoro much better at the same price in Sydney , the one I ordered was more like Toro rather than Otoro . I know it is approximately $10/piece but it was $49 for those 6 pieces no worth . The pork omelette was a big surprise !
Went there for a special birthday dinner and we did the omakase menu. The sushi master made every piece infront of us and it is the best sushi experience i have had in Sydney by far. The otoro was aged well and simply melted away. The service was great and felt very authentic. They suggested some great sake choices to match our food and palette too. Can't wait to go again!
We came here without a booking and was greeted by a grumpy waitress who begrudgingly opened up a dining area downstairs to accommodate our unannounced arrival. My kids and wife have gone down the stairs to see how things are going and were bluntly sent back to wait upstairs. Despite all this, the dining area downstairs were great for the kids. We ordered a few sets to sample a variety of dishes. Their signature rice balls had great texture and were well seasoned. The ingredients were high quality, fish was fresh, cooked with good technique and care. Overall, the food was beautiful but the experience was let down by our feeling of being unwanted and the prices were relatively high.
Food was quite tasty except they didn’t do the beef tataki quite how I like it. Wasn’t thinly sliced and was a bit tough. For the price, I don’t think this is quite worth it considering the food came out quite slowly and there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. Dishes were at an average $20 and servings were on the smaller side. Also - they charge extra for debit transactions and request a $30 minimum spend per person.
Great Japanese restaurant that serves the classics as well as comfort food reminiscent of home. We were surprised with a great bowl of Tai-Meshi snapper rice and couldn’t get enough.
Authentic Japanese. Although on the pricer side, definitely recommended. The highlight was sashimi and eel hitsumabushi, which is grilled eel, served with condiments nori, green onion and wasabi and freshly brewed green tea. All served on top of a bed of steamed rice in a hot stone pot. It was an amazing experience, we will definitely come back again!
Great experience and delicious food! Very authentic Japanese food and nice staff. Everything tastes like a dream!
Very warm and friendly staff! The service was amazing and the food was astonishing! Came in as they were going to close but the chefs were very kind to concoct us a wonderful meal
Great food and atmosphere. The steamed egg chawanmushi is a must!
Lovely sanma lunch set. Haven't had such good grilled fish for a long while. Their eel fish rice is really good as well.
