We've moved house recently, so I was donating furniture, all in good pre loved condition minor flaws to be expected . The first guys who came out agreed to take some of it, but a different pair came out the second time and decided they weren't going to take anything, which was disappointing. Too fussy with free donated goods, I ended up selling the items.nnAfter visiting the store, I was surprised at what they were selling compared to the donations they did not accept.
The biggest op shop I've ever been to with an incredible selection, decent pricing. They even sell building and renovation supplies! Decent prices too
Ive always loved coming here but today the prices seem to have skyrocketed, i'm shocked. I usually leave with something but not this time. When stock remains on the shelf for so long and everything is getting crowded its time to drop your prices, its not an antique store.nReturned today, 8 Aug, and even more disappointed. Even an antique shop wouldn't charge as much especially for damaged and odd items. $32 seems to be a standard price for vintage china items. Please revisit your pricing.
Used to love coming here and would make an effort to go every few weeks BUT something has changed and the prices have gone up in an insane crazy way. I’ve actually taken couple of photos as example this time. Kids doll house priced at $60, lots of missing pieces/incomplete/used, you are better off buying off the marketplace or trademe. A stationary set was $25!! I should mention it was opened/used and missing pieces. I also bought a similar stationary set brand new on sale for $5 in a retails store…What are these prices?, is there a staff member that just doesn’t understand fair reasonable pricing. I should also mention another lady was also commenting on the prices, she suggested I take it to the counter and negotiate, I told her, I just don’t bother anymore, why should I become uncomfortable raising issues when common sense isn’t being used in the first instance. I also noticed kids book prices are now double, there were also a whole lot of book like hairy maclary priced at $5 Each, kids books at second hand stores are usually 0.50, $1, maybe $2, not this high, a whole heap of average books were put behind the counter like they were collectables and individually priced, again no special spectacular book. I don’t recommend this store anymore. It’s all about profit over helping the community now-days with second hand stores.
One of the best in Auckland for sure! Its absolutely massive. Got a huge range of furniture and all pretty well priced. Definitely keeping this on my list to revisit!
