Not a good experience!!! Visited the GYG - Newtown with my friends and all disappointed with the food. While we ordered regular size burritos, the food portion was ultra small and the taste was not pleasant. Tiny area for dine in. Not recommended!!!
I love Guzman and it’s always my go to when I want a quick reasonably priced meal. It’s also one of the few Mexican places that doesn’t put coriander in everything! My usual go to is a cali burrito, twice now i have opted to add a tacos on for $3 each and unfortunately both times I have been extremely disappointed! Measly scraping of toppings that barely reaches a 5th of the way up the shell and an absolute rip off for $3. It’s a shame as the burritos and nachos are great! Just avoid the tacos!
Food-4/5 Ambience-4/5 Service-3/5 Price point- 5/5 Overall review- great place to have quick mexican food at night as its open till late. Otherwise service wise felt they are always in a hurry although they were busy but service point of view it could get better. This restaurant is incredibly dirty, I live in the neighborhood and I need to walk on the footpath to train station every day, hardly anytime they have left the path clean. There’s always a pile of dirty water and I can’t imagine how dirty the food could be. Please don’t support a business that makes community dirty.
Worst GYG in Sydney Ordered cheese fries online took 20 minutes to come after checking three times. Came out cold and the serving size was tiny. I understand it was busy but everyone else got their food much quicker without having to ask three times. Friend ordered food and the presentation was horrendous.
I accidentally ordered from here as I always order from UNSW, due to quality issues in the past. Received a 'hard' taco that had turned into a soft taco and had disintegrated. Luckily I was able to get a refund for it from uber eats. There is always an issue when I order from here. The food is sometimes cold, they don't read the order instructions asked no black beans, were added anyway, and I've ordered churros that weren't even included at all despite being on the receipt.
Absolute scumbag service here! I ordered some of the Gluten Free hard corn tortilla tacos after a very long day at work. I emphasized several times “Gluten Free”. Upon receiving the order i threw my receipt in the trash as you do and continued my journey home. I returned home half an hour later with a huge appetite only to realize the tortillas were in fact soft wheat tortillas which I am allergic to. Being so tired and late I refused to make the journey back to the restaurant to complain, instead I called several times to no answer. Left a message with contact details explaining my problem. No reply. Two days later Ive returned to the store to make a formal complaint. None of the staff or the manager showed any sympathy or effort to reprimand the problem. They instead argued with me saying they do not believe me and that could not of happened and that without the receipt I have no proof. If they had of offered me a couple of corn tacos as a solution I would of been satisfied. Instead I will continue to harass management. I will also continue to spit on this store every time I walk past so that their floor and walls are as dirty as their scummy service. I urge you to do the same.
Great salads with fresh ingredients and tasty dressing. Good thing that they were not stingy with dressing like other places. Not exaggerate but this is the best salad ive ever tried. I ordered the grilled chicken salad and the chicken was so juicy. They all blended so well with chipotle mayo. Service was friendly when I came in. Will come back again
Ages to deliver my order and when it came, I took a bite of one of the churros, expecting a succulent sweet and delicious snack only to be greeted with a putrid salty taste upon my taste buds and then realized that it was covered in salt.Food: 1/5
Paid the extra for gauc and didn't get it. The food was good as usual but they were not even busy yet still forgot to add the guacamole I paid for plus it was on the yellow sticker describing my order.
