We had dinner on valentine's day. We were very disappointed about the portions and the quality of the food. It wasn't worthy for 290. We didn't expect everything was for sharing. I was expecting more fancy,better dishes on a special occasion like valentine's day, and the table was sticky. I'm not sure if i want to go back there again.
Decided to try this restaurant for home made pasta dishes. Tried 2 different pastas: one with pumpkin and another one with spicy pork sausage induja. You can definitely tell that pasta was made in the house. It was very good. We liked it. We also tried chocolate pudding for dessert. However, it was more like a chocolate lava cake with all the gooeyness. Staff was very accommodating and welcoming.
We went to the Gusto last night and had the best time! The food was just beautiful and the service was great. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. I believe her name was Riki. I had the Beef Cheek and it was the best meal I’ve had in a long time. My partner got the Spaghetti and really enjoyed the house made pasta. We will definitely be back!
We stayed at the Sky City Grand and had the buffet breakfast here at the Gusto on 3 occasions. Great selection from egg, bacon, sausage hot breakfast to continental breakfast, pastries, fruits, self serving tea and coffee. Try the omelette which the chef will make to your order. Buffet breakfast is $40 and you can also get barista coffee for an extra cost. Open for breakfast at 7 am daily, great staff and nice and easy location while staying at the Sky City Grand.
Located at the heart of Auckland CBD, very convenient location. Not good if you are driving though, as you’d need to pay for parking. The food was average and the dinning experience wasn’t particularly memorable. The service was good though.
We had an absolutely enjoyable evening and were well looked after by the whole Gusto team. Very friendly and attentive service. The food choices and presentation were excellent and we definitely left feeling like we had a real feast. Even if we tried to think of any constructive criticism we couldn't come up with anything. Thanks again to the team!
The food was absolutely delicious, with the asparagus and saffron risotto being our favorite of the meal. A special mention too for the young lady who waited our table I can only apologize for not knowing her name. She was very knowledgeable about the menu, as well as being friendly in her manner. A credit to the restaurant.
Without a doubt, Gusto's offered the best cuisine on our 10-day tour of New Zealand. We were greeted with a smile, and the waitress was prompt and attentive and knew the menu and wine list well. She also checked on us often. The food was excellent, and we ate too much of course!
We were strangely the only customers on a Saturday afternoon. The service was fast. Sadly they don't do the canoli anymore. The ricotta and pizza bread is delicious. Although I'm not sure about serving it in a pizza box when dining in.
OMG the food here was amazing! We got the fish of the day, which was snapper, and the eggplant parmigiana. Both were divine. The service was exceptional - all the waitresses were friendly and helpful. It was quite busy, and looked like there was a private function going on, but still we didn’t have to wait too long for our food. I will definitely go back!
