my experiences with Dr Shamin Jayaweera have been extremely supportive and she is so kind. The service here is attentive and contrasts many other GP clinics I have tried, I came here after an awful experience with another doctor at another clinic and I felt heard, looked after and I am so glad I came here. The receptionist is lovely too.
Dr shamin was extremely helpful. Would definitely recommend. She is very thorough and caring.
Absolutely poor waiting time. We have experienced waiting period for 60-70 minutes past expected wait time. This has occured with many practitioners but especially Dr.Kevin Rose. They need to get serious about their booking times and either allow everyone 30 minute blocks or stick to the allocated 16 minutes. We have moved other appointments around only to wait 70 minutes to be seen by a doctor. This is ridiculous and not good enough. Start respecting others and their schedules. Receptionist will lie to you and say "you are next" and "there's only 1 ahead of you' when in reality your wait time for 60 minutes without explanation. I DO NOT recommend you come here. Visit any other Gaurdian Medical. Update 30/7/2022 We noticed this on the board however unfortunately have to report that our appointment was at 12.45pm today and we waited 45 minutes. We were not updated as per this "new procedure" and had to follow up with reception thrice ourselves.
I highly recommend this practice and Dr Hiran in particular. I managed to get a same day appointment through HotDocs and was seen very promptly by Dr Hiran. He was thorough, empathetic and took the time to explain things well. I have previously taken my one year old to see Dr Hiran when he was working at another practice and he is also good with children.
Been coming here for years. The doctors are nice, but the waiting room times are ridiculous. I often wait over an hour past my appointment time. The receptionists will never be honest about the wait time. I always call before and ask how far behind schedule they are so I can go in a bit later, but they will always say it's only 10-15 minutes behind schedule and it's always much longer. I can make any other appointments on a day I have to come here because of the long waiting times. In the past, I have had to walk out because I had somewhere else I needed to be. The lack of respect for patients' time is inexcusable. I'm going to be finding a new clinic soon because of this.
In defence of one of the two reviews here, I have been a patient at GHMC since the 1980's. Yes, sometimes some of the doctors run late but sometimes unavoidable things happen. I trust my doctor explicitly, she is worth the wait. However, I have never waited for longer than an hour!
New to the area and had my first appointment with Dr Kevin Rose 27 Sept 2018. A very warm and friendly, understanding and funny doctor. Almost made me want to visit again! Bulk billing available too. Great find.
Dr Barbara Walker and Kevin Rose have diligently looked after me for years...professional service and good diagnosis. Would be 5 stars but sometimes have had to wait a tad but never if urgent.
Certainly not a flashy looking practice; the decor is old and tired. That said the decor doesn't look after you - the GPs are fantastic and follow up when they say they will.
Bad of the bad experience, different staff says different things, never go again in this place as well not recommend others
