This is a great place, foods fresh and a great choice. Found it was noisy with everyone chit chatting, kids are a bit noisy. Kids are kids. As it was raining was a great place to eat after taking the river tour Bundy Belle River Cruises a must do!
Food was decent, liked the salt and pepper prawn ceaser salad and garlic butter scallops. Lovely view, situated right next to the river.nnRestaurant is alongside the seafood market which had many fresh seafoods available for sale. Bought home a pack of cooked shrimps which tasted amazing, and a pack of prawn bisque which in my opinion, tasted too strongly of wine.
Open Wednesday, Thursday & Sunday from 10am to 3pm and Friday & Saturday from 10am to 8pm. The hours that Google lists is for the market NOT the restaurant.nnGreat prawns, even better calamari and believe it or not even better scallops.nnLots of seating over looking the river
How good is Grunske’s? Absolutely awesome nnOur first visit and loved the hot & cold seafood platter nnGreat riverfront location, plenty of off street parking, lots of tables and more fresh seafood than a lobster could jump over nnWe booked a table in advance - wise move, and enjoyed a delicious lunch nnI didn’t realise at the time first visit that diners can buy drinks from the meal collection counter, rather than line up at the food ordering counter. Thank you Grunske’s for pointing this out, and a great note for visitors nnAnother tip we learned - plan ahead by bringing an esky, and buy some beautiful fresh seafood to take home
